COD legitimately killed innovation in the FPS genre for over a fucking decade.
Smash is self contained and affects nothing outside of itself and stinky tournaments.
If you can only pick one then Madden or Fifa really doesn't matter because both keep EA afloat so choosing either is a waste.
GTA is also largely self contained.
The ENTIRETY of Star Wars wouldn't be worth losing just to get rid of the current bad spot its in.

I feel like Fifa is the biggest scam to fans who blindly buy it every year with minimal changes, but COD was probably worse for the industry as a whole when it became such a huge success that every major publisher desperately started chasing the online shooter trend and killing everything else that was too unique.
I'm pretty indifferent to Smash. I don't really get the hype around it, and all the drama surrounding esports is stupid, but the game itself seems pretty harmless.
