there's other ways to get by enemies, especially in a game about saving ammo. if you play like you want to kill everything of course things may not go in your favor - also as others said, this zombie is tanky to squish you in that room if you aren't careful. most people activate the other zombie getting the key and don't realize they can get it without doing that so they end up sandwiched
