I hope this is a joke, recently played the first one and the combat is a bit fun in the early game, but it just gets FUCKING BORING after the novelty of multilating zombies wears off. It gets even worse when human enemies are introduced in the slums. Dead Island made me sleep through 85% of the campaign

Came to say this. Condemned isn't perfect, but fuck if the focus on melee and guns being a luxury didn't help.

never played the demo, just beat the full game today: the enemy variants get fucking annoying and the enemy encounter areas just become a chore. despite what other people might say, i really don't think there's a lot of "freedom" in the combat: nearly all of the encounter areas have a very specific way to handle them.
