I wish the wow players would leave my server. Ever since they started joining, I've noticed creeping elitism, min-maxing, and anti-social behavior started to manifest in-game. The game has not been as friendly in the last year.

I do like XIV quite a bit, but it's definitely insecure as fuck to constantly compare the two, and XIV players do it way more often than wow players. It's essentially a way to feel they have the objective high ground, like the only correct choice in terms of MMO's is XIV and they have picked the correct one, they are the "patricians" in the situation and think everyone should acknowledge it. Going "the one i like is better and heres why" over and over as they do is such a clear form of how unreliable their actual opinions are im surprised the community can't see it.

WoW is a mmorpg that has an optional story, with it being more about collecting gear and raising your m+

FFXIV is a singleplayer game with optional multiplayer, with it being more about watching cutscenes and reading dialogue, with no gear grind or pushing savage. (progression doesn't exist)

If you like WoW you won't like FFXIV. If you like FFXIV you won't like WoW. Why the fuck do people keep comparing these games.

I don't play mmos anymore but xiv players seem like a special breed of obnoxious.
