That shit was disappointingly easy. Not only does he never block, he will just eat a full combo AND his attacks are fully telegraphed AND hardly any are unblockable. If you want some actual advice then just dodge and punish with a full combo, dont try to wake him up, and if you can dodge around to his back near the wall then do a wall heat move; hes much less likely to break out of a back grapple. The fight is really relatively easy for the series, but you do have to fight on his terms and defend when its "his turn". GL HF user

no matter what I do his side-kick attack tethers to Kiryu regardless of where I moved and he's a damage sponge. Literally haven't had a single tough fight in 0 or Kiwami 1 until this faggot.

>Literally haven't had a single tough fight in 0 or Kiwami 1
The two fights in Kiwami with the faggots using guns are excruciating.

the only fights in yakuza ive ever had a problem with are the fuckin car sections on legend. beat the 0 one but kiwami keeps fucking me. im so shitty at them but the rest of the games are nothing man

This isn't really an issue in the sense that they "had guns" but that there were 3 boss-level enemies, all who were intentionally programmed to evade your opening hits at any cost, and were all intentionally programmed to be aggressive, even if they aren't your current target. So what the battle inevitably turns into is this really annoying hit-and-run game, where you're lucky to even get a single full combo string off, and every single attack from any of the 3 enemies will stun and make you drop to the floor. Doesn't matter that they have guns. The knives and grenades also stun you just as well the guns did. And then, even if you down the 2 anonymous gun adds, they revive themselves in seconds while equipping knives, which are just as bad as far as dropping you to the ground.

is it okay to have to use 2-3 toughness per boss fight?

in kiwami they made them controllable with the mouse so i used it and it was very easy, same with the baseball minigame

Depends on the boss

Just buy Sushi from the corner store, or if you want to be a bit more money efficient, stewed burger combo to-go from smile burger.

And yes, it is. But consider that if you're locked into an opponent's hit combo, try holding left-bumper. If you're facing the hits, you may be able to start blocking the rest of the combo-string, building back some heat due to blocking, and avoiding the full damage of the combo. You should eventually get better skills and damage upgrades such that it's not a huge problem. Particularly Komaki Tiger Drop with some practice can let you down Majima's multiple health bars in a 30 second fight.

Although, consider that some weapon hits from bosses won't really be easily blockable, like if they're using a bladed weapon, or a hammer/bat that can blow your block out after most hits. Against normal punch/kick combos, you should be able to block their combo string without too much problem.

Wtf happen to the creators face? He looks like a swollen peanut

>people seriously talking about Yakuza fighting tactics
Holy lol.
Yakuza 0 XXXY: the game (light punch, light punch, light punch, heavy punch for the uneducated)
Kiwami 1 RB+Y: the game (Tiger Drop for the undeducated)
Kiwami 2 weapons: the game (also weapons)
Also unless you want to 100% you can just mash on easy. I can't imagine anyone having any problem with anything unless they go with a fresh save on legend in K1-2 (0 is piss easy even on fresh legend).

Not gonna lie I kinda miss the "AWESOME Yakuza Combat.webm" schizoposting that happened in every single Yakuza thread from a year ago.

>Kiwami 1 RB+Y: the game (Tiger Drop for the undeducated)
You have to go out of your way to do a lot of extra (quasi) boss fights without it to get that though.

you still have him posting the webms and pastas sometimes, but it's less frequent, yeah. for the best though.
i imagine he's shitting up some other threads like a schizo.

the game is extremely easy from start to finish, if you're that bad then just fill the inventory with staminan and equip weapons with most damage

I did this on hard last week and it was actually really fucking easy. You can just spam holding X or (square for snoys) and you'll beat the snot out of him. Always bring staminan xx's or royales and if you're still losing uninstall

The charged kick can knock him on his ass.

Reasons why I am looking forward to 7.

No more bullshit brawling system but we're getting a turn based system that requires a little bit of strategy and build.

i wanted to get the platinum on ps4 and thats where im getting dicked, one day ill figure it out but for now it makes me mad enough to attempt 5 times and move on for a while

You can bet outside a few meme encounters/challenges you need zero strategy to play.

I'd take that over
>boss goes into heat mode
>hits you once
>stuns you for 3 seconds
>kicks you down to the floor
>rinse and repeat while dodging your attacks

Don't shoot at heads during the gun sections, shoot at the center of the circle as the center is the critical spot. If you are on Legend you can only take about one or two hits leading into the truck section and the truck section is mostly luck because it needs to back off at least once or you die so make sure you know what spawns where during the course and when you're going to go into the truck sections you need to have a full magazine and unload on the driver as much as possible as quickly as possible. If I remember right leaning out when you get rammed into is an OHKO but if you have almost full health and are in the car when it rams you you survive one hit.

The side kick isnt undodgeable even if it has good tracking and I'm also confident its fully blockable

>play the colliseum in 5
>a lot of the bosses read inputs, insta dodge and punish the moment you throw out one punch
>they also spam the fucking grab so you're forced to mash to escape constantly if you don't play as kiryu/shinada
really explains why the actual story stuff is always piss easy
shit can be downright tedious when they attempt to make it hard
don't even get me started on certain amons

Kiwami 2 was the easiest so far for me

DELETE THIS

The dragon musketeer dude did this to me and I ragequit

just wait until you play 3

I dont know why people hate Y3
I really like enemy AI, playing on hard is fun you have to think what you do because everyone is blocking forever
