.hack really isn't that good. But then again MMO's in general aren't really that good.

VRChat is comfy, but ideally I'd like an actual world with some interaction and cooperative gameplay besides just chat. Also, VRChat avatars are also a bit restrictive for me because I'm absolutely worthless with any 3D stuff.

It's funny to me that in the show there was PCs who chose to wear generic armor and take orders from some waifu with an axe.

this unfortunately. People are way too ADHD for the social roleplaying emphasis a .hack mmo would have. Doesn't help all socializing has been moved to discord.

i'm just waiting for a real mmo for vr. Read somewhere that rockstar just hired a team to focus on VR development, so i'm sure we'll be playing a R* made mmovrg somewhere in the future.
