Tipping brainwashing is designed to blame poor working conditions and miserable salaries of service workers onto customers instead of companies which employ them in the first place.

Almost all places do "tip out", sharing the tips among most staff. Really a % of the tips should go to all staff besides managers if the servers make a lot. Leads to much higher retainability on employees.

The price of tipping would get passed into the price of food and wouldn't be more in total than tipping. To think otherwise is fucking stupid and nonsensical. Fucking servers generally make MORE than the minimum wage under the tipping system (just inconsistently), hence low income workers in the service industry kinda support it. If they're making MORE than minimum wage, then as a percentage of the price you pay, you are paying for their salary to be MORE than minimum wage. If the business has to pay them AT minimum wage and the cost of this is passed onto the food, then you're generally paying LESS or AS MUCH as you did under a tipping system
