Play Saints Row 3.
Play Saints Row 3
> it's like Saint's Row 4 without superpowers and humor.
No thanks
No. SR2 shits over everything else.
Why isn't there more porn of this game.
Fuck no, I'd rather play 4.
We lost Shaundi-bros.
I'd rather play Saints Row 4 again
But I finished the game 8 years ago...
SR2's port is straight garbage. Literally the worst port I've ever seen.
Never had any problems with it.
Still, they're working on it since they found SR2 source code.
already did 9 years ago
I prefer 4.
are there catsuits? this is important.
>Never had any problems with it.
I seriously doubt that.
I did and it was boring as fuck compared to what I remembered from a decade ago on the PS3. The female fake russian accent voice was pretty cute but I still dropped it a couple hours in.
this desu
>they're working on it since they found SR2 source code
>he doesn't know
One of the two guys working on it was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and stopped working on it to take care of his health. So one guy is doing it now, in his free time.
The port was so bad it gave people working on it stage 4 cancer.
i think so but i can't remember
It wasn't just some dude - its Idolninja who has worked at volition for a long time and is the author of gentlemen of the row. God has decreed us mere mortals are not to get SR2 in its perfect form.
not him, but it worked just fine with gentlemen of the row
Is fine max settings 60+ FPS with no bugs out of the ass?
This, SR jumped the shark on the opening scene of 3
These are both true, SR2 works because it is grounded, the humour although can be wacky at times follows more so along bizarre circumstances (impersonating a cop, driving a sewage truck, etc.) whereas SR4 is completely absurdist and doesn't even dare to think about trying to sit in the sensible chair. Hell the two new major characters you get out of SR4 are an insane, singing alien world dominator with a serious superiority complex and literally Keith David who believes that the wrestler, Roddy Piper can appear from literally anywhere at a moment's notice as long as he's needed.
SR3 always feels like it's trying to dip its toes into both pools of humour but fails at both as a result, you can't have a serious plot revolving around the death of a major character like Johnny Gat when the antagonist is an eccentric European weirdo who just gets killed off before the first act is properly over so we can have a Luchadore take over instead. At the same time you can't just have some ridiculous analogy for the US Army in STAG acting like about the most extreme depiction of that one can get but then try to play it off like they're an actual threat who would pose a serious risk to the Saints.
Honestly you compare STAG to Ultor or any of the SR2 gangs and STAG comes up short in terms of threat and then you compare STAG to the Zin Empire and it completely lacks the charisma of Zinyak as well as the playfulness with its own absurdity.
Perfect level of silly and serious. It's what we wanted GTA IV to be. Hell they even mocked how boring GTA IV in their advertising with one saying "Why go bowling with your friends when you can bowl 'with' your friends."
Like, I always felt the SR2 story was funny and off the wall, but also deadly serious, especially when you mercy kill your best friend who just got dragged and spend the rest of that part of the campaign trying to ice the leader of the gang that did it. It always felt more real than any other GTA style game while also being completely game like, it's hard to explain.
Am I the only one who thinks 3 looks better than 4? I feel like 4 looks more plastic.
I haven't played any GTA game so I wouldn't be able to comment on that but yeah, I think both the Brotherhood and Ronin's missions had that good sense of a sort of grounded humour but also mixed well with good drama. The entire downward spiral of events in the former and just the sheer underlying rage you get from Johnny Gat in the latter really made those two stand out. I get what they were going for with Sons of Samedi too but I don't think it was pulled off as well, Shaundi just isn't a character I got as invested in and the weird voodoo shit with Mr. Sunshine was probably the most out of place thing in the entire game.
Yes because they just reused everything from 3 and just changed some parts of the map.
Yeah, I can tell they tried with the Sons and Shaundi, but it didn't really quite fit, especially with the feel of their part of Stilwater. The Ronin being in the burbs and the Brotherhood being in the industrial areas made more sense than some voodoo guys being in the more downtown area. Although I did like the very tail end of their campaign when you take out Mr. Sunshine. The way I play it, I take them out first so the end of their campaign serves as a good jumping off point for the other two.
hm
maybe it's because i played 3 on pc and 4 on the xbox 360 then
True
>90% of it is bimbo Shaundi
For shame
I prefer sunset overdrive's customization.
