This game is shaping up to be one of the best CRPGs ever. The Alpha is a blast.

did they get rid of the kingdom management
Kinda. Now you will manage a crusade and fight HoMM3 style battles
nice that sounds awesome
The wait is killing me. Really hope the game will be less buggy than Kingmaker on release.
best girl
Im unironically too stupid to play first one properly. All the DnD stats and classes. I really like crpg's but i feel like im too old and casual to play them now.
I'll try again one day.
i played the alpha, they're giving us an actual tutorial
You guy didn't tell me this was a good game.
Play on normal and read a bit about Armor class and how spells work
Playing in turn-based mode helped me a lot.
I like that I can become a lich. Other games that allow that?
>Can become a Lich.
I sleep.
>Can become a Worm That Walks.
Now we're fucking talking.
>lich
>worm
>mfw I destroy swarm shits
why do we have to manage ANYTHING for fucks sake. just make a linear RPG or someshit with no fucking gimmicks jesus fuck
The management will not be as bad as the one in Kingmaker
You are mostly bugs, especially locusts.
No crawling .
Because:
1) That was part of the original AP mechanics
2) Further contextualizes the plot and your character. Being a king who rules nothing and decides nothing, or a Commander who never commands makes it feel hollow.
3)They are russians, they loves HoMaM
Aren't we all LARPers humans pretending being something cool in the game? Even NPCs will laughing at us.
Most of them like what they see.
Aside from the fact that most would not get the difference, those that do care about results.
It's one of the few games that I'm actually hyped for.
>cater to me specifically REEEEEEE!
Stfu
hardest boss in the game is the character creation.
The game is pretty casual friendly, you'd be fine.
any new classes in?
Arcanist, Bloodrager, Witch ,Shaman, Oracle, Warpriest, Cavalier, Hunter, Skald.
Also, every class will have 6 archetypes instead of 3.
You also get 12 extra archetypes based on races (like Stonelord who is Dwarf Paladin exclusive)
>even more class options
Jesus christ, this is getting out of hand.
Tell me about shamans and oracles, though.
Are mythic paths locked on melee or caster characters? If a wizard chose the lich path he gains news spells but if it's NG wizard which path gives him the spells besides worm? Good boy wizard should choose what?
There aree also background options and alternate racial features (so you will npt be stuck with orc Ferocity).
Oracle and Shaman are divine casters.
Oracles are to clerics what sorcerers are to Wizards (sponetanous casters). You get a Mystery instead of domain because they follow a broader ideal than a god, and you are also hit with a curse. Pretty strong full caster class.
Shamans are also full casters. They have a unique spell list instead of the cleric one(which is largely similar though). They get access to a spirit companion instead of pets/familiars, and they also get Hexes ( a separate pool of spell like abilities that are most debuffs).
Totally agree. I’m loving it so far.
>wanna play a lich first run
>succubus and nympho psycho look like top tier girls
>lich means going full volcel
Guees you can’t have your cake and eat it too
Holy shit I might actually be able to get into it now.
Every mythic gives something to everyone.
Some have better/easier synergues with what we knwo from the Alpha (like Cleric/Angel or Wizard/Lich), but you could make a fighter/lich who gets great benefits from it.
For example, a Wizard could choose Azata.
Pay attention to Favorable Magic and Zippy magic described in the pic.
Can I skip Kingmaker for this? Even though I like low level D&D, but this seems more interesting.
Sure, aside from a few references and one character who appeared in kingmaker, nothing carries over.
thanks, will get this at some point
