Sometimes the gameplay in a game is dogshit but the story is good so yes, when I can't be fucked to drag myself through shitty gameplay I will flick it to easy, otherwise I'll play on Hard.

I generally play on the hardest available difficulty unless it is some meme shit like permadeath or one hit death. Most games are more fun when they are challenging.

I play almost every game on the hardest difficulty except strategy and RTS games.
Fuck those games. I can handle bullshit like turning everybody into bullet sponges in FPS games, but in RTS when they just let the AI cheat and give them infinite resources, that's just a fucking headache to deal with.
For RTS games I always go normal.
