I don't think any kind of change of story or focus would've gotten people on board with the shit gameplay. In the end the game from second 1 looked like boring trash, then they decided to pivot to a games as a service model with an embarrassingly bad gameplay loop on a garbage loot treadmill. The main problem is that she's fucking boring. She doesn't use her power for anything unique that couldn't be done by other characters.
