Does he have 4 arms in the book?

Shrike is way too powerful and basically only loses if he decides its time, but you could do something with party members where he appears differently to each, different challenges to overcome etc. Fucking amazing book though.

>can make the screen go black while a shitty AI controls your character for 10 seconds any time he wants
>reads any input you make and counters without error
How would you even beat him?

by overloading the platform with a high voltage current

Same way they did in the mango. With a narrative-demanded last minute hard counter power up.

Shitty idea user
Here's how he would work
>at some point he has a small signal indicating that epitaph is active
>After 10 seconds from activation the game turns back and locks you into the same actions you did in these 10 seconds
>you win by baiting him into moving where you want him to be

if i'm playing as muh girl

I just feel that you stole the idea, I can just feel it

You'd be correct user, i just don't remember from where myself

Dante could beat it.

That user used epitaph to predict and erase the steal

Kandar the Destroyer from Ash VS Evil Dead

He would also be good

OH FU-

He'd skip time but it would feel instant. Right after time skips he'd attack you so you better dodge or counter fast.

>different challenges to overcome etc.
Objective: Fuck the Shrike
Objective: Control yourself as it transforms while you cum everywhere
Objective: Survive

Are you actually inferring he actually loses in one of the sequels? I haven't dared to read them yet because all sci-fi tends to get worse in each subsequent story

I stop reading it after the author started to insert too many of his fetishes that it distracted me too much. Does he still do it?

he loses to brawne lamia lol

With extreme prejudice and I find it extremely based

>With extreme prejudice
Not my cup of tea. It is just to distracting for me. Either write some pure fetish or pure exploration story, im okay with both but if the guy can't craft both thing skillfully, I find it annoying and distracting.

What the absolute fuck

Imagine fighting him with a sekiro like combat

the power of love and something about the ability to hover, i didn't even fucking know what was happening even as i read it, martin silenus was jacked into the shrike pain tree matrix at the time and something about time fields gave brawne the advantage i think (this is embarrassing i read that back in july lol)

Typical lesser dark souls enemy, hardly a boss

That sounds like a massive departure from the first book. I just read a summary and can't even imagine what I just read being a coherent novel

Sci-fi is such a crapshoot

I was spooked ngl

Now imagine Grievous. He already has a great boss theme
