Hollow Knight.

Playing through the halo campaigns
every time I encounter the flood I always ask myself "what do they smell like?"
I've yet to find a definitive answer

If you smell them you're already fucked

probably musty/moldy + rotting flesh? It's been a while since I lasted played halo or read the lore, so I'm not too sure. But I remember the ship commander elite (rtas vadum or something?) saying there was a distinct 'stench' to them.

i still have yet to try that game out-- am turned off by bugs because I'm a wuss, but it looks good.

Doom Eternal. Beat the main campaign last night and playing through the DLC now.

The bugs are for fugs in Hollow Knight. It only gets disgusting later on in the game.

he never explained the stench, just that he recognizes it.
if it smelled like dead flesh, the hosts would have to be dead, they are not

pathologic 2 for the nth time. This game really did something to me. To my brain

I have so many fucking games and no motivation to play any of them.

You never explained how. How do you use reshade?

yeah true.

I really want to play pathologic 2! I never played the first game because I heard it can be tedious, but I really like the aesthetic.

Also cool ost from the first game, altho I don't know if this exact track was in the game

Revelations 2 raid mode

I feel you. Maybe it's time to do something else, then?

>I don't know if this exact track was in the game
in the steppe

they are dead, at least the marine ones. they snap their own necks right before getting fully possessed

choose 10 games and roll for one of them and play that. i have a bunch of games on my backlog and when i cant choose what to play i just choose the ones im most interested in and roll for one.

ah okay. is it necessary to play the original? or should I just get the second game-- I hear it's like a remake/re-imagining?

I'm playing through Dark Souls 3 for the first time
kind of lost in Irithyll Jail right now

I was replaying phantom hourglass for the first time in a decade or so, since I finished playing wind waker for the 2nd time.

Counter Strike: Source

I have an everlasting love for fucking around on de_dust2_unlimited

the hosts are definitely brain dead, but biologically they are very much alive.

I feel like its definitely more fulfilling to play at least 1 route of the original before playing the 2nd, but its not a total necessity, and patho classic definitely isnt for everybody. I'd say buy classic, play up to the day 4, and if you dont think the narrative is enough to motivate you to beat the game, refund/drop it and play pathologic 2 instead.
>I hear it's like a remake/re-imagining?
Yup. It's very different narratively, but it maintains some key concepts. Its also a total improvement from the original gameplay-wise.

Bought Asterix XXL 2 since it's 70% off on Switch and honestly so far I'm impressed. The French dub and humor are on point, the gameplay is simple but satisfying. Makes me nostalgic for the actually good licensed games we used to get in the 90s and early 2000s. Probably because it is one. I'm also surprised they could get away with that many video game references and cameos. I'm only in the second chapter and so far I've seen Mario Sunshine, Street Fighter, Splinter Cell, Lara Croft, Pacman, Tetris, Yoshi and Bomberman references

Oh nice. I really liked irithyll dungeon after playing through the game a few times. the weird baby head creatures, don't want to spoil exactly what they are, drop some cool weapons if u farm them. really rare drops tho iirc. But if you manage to get one of those weapons, it'll clue you into what you're fighting.

>kind of lost in Irithyll Jail right now
just keep going, its actually really short

Clea
I’m shitting my pants as I post this

I see. thanks
