>Warrior in a fantasy universe
>Is called Clive

Way to ruin the immersion

Looks great, it’s gonna be kino

Why are people making such a big deal out of his name?
Did people forget that lightnings real name is Eclair, or Tina=Terra, or Butz=Bartz

It's fine.

>one of the world's greatest conquerors
>named Alexander

I like it they’re obviously going for a noble English medieval sounding name

Well it's better than Gale, or Kevin etc

>one of God's creatures
>18 gorillion years of evolution
>is capable of literally any human feat and more
>is called user
>posts on Zig Forums
doesn't make any sense to me either

What really gets me is
>Medieval fantasy game
>Characters have southern accent
Because nothing screams medieval fantasy like Sir Billy Bob or Sir Bubba hailing from Castle Walmart in the great kingdom of Alabama

>European medieval times
>characters speaking high british
Not only was that accent not around until America was founded, but they didn't even speak english back then. It was more like proto German.

wut

>dubfag

>One shot at life
>Parents name you Clunt

I have a huge hard-on for this game like nobody's business.

So... we're gonna pretend Zidane was a good name for protagonist now?

Ok

So, this is in the realm of FF12,vagrant story and FF tactics?
Those are the best games, i might buy this one if that's the case.

So you want him named after yet another weather based phenomenon like A squall or a cloud or a tide.

Should call him Richard instead

there's so many complaints against 16 that should have been lobbied at old FF's
>protag's name sucks
>ew its generic fantasy
>it doesn't even LOOK like a final fantasy game
>no party members?
>ugh the protag looks so feminine
>these graphics are horrible
>political storyline? yawn
>why isn't it turn based

Like, every single one of these applied to at least one other old FF game.

Beat me to it, Dick Grand would be a wonderful name.

Canonical pronunciation is "tee-dus".

After XV (i liked the game but it's not a good FF) i could not care less about casuls, Square prolly saw DQ12 numbers and decided to go for the more hardcore RPG fans.

>Rosaria
>Rozarria

NOT ON MY WATCH

Clive is my boyfriend

all the names are shit. isn't there literally a JOSHUA as one of the important characters? something like that

Main guy sounded Australian to me. Am I wrong? I can't really tell accents apart. The rest of the characters sounded British. Except that blonde lady that says "crusaders". That sounded kinda Scottish.

Remember when we had Cecil, Rosa, and fucking Edward?

or Vincent Valentine

edVard

sorry, but this is literal cherry-picking in a huge series. vincent valentine is just supposed to sound "cool." besides, someone can totally be named that in FFVII's world. i would even say barret is a much better example of what you are going for

I haven't paid attention to the voice acting.
Are they getting theatre actors back like they had in XII?

>Barret
You mean Bullet
