I had to force myself to play it for the first two hours. I died a lot and just wasn't having a very good time, skimming through all the lore bits I found.
Eventually I took a week break from it and when I came back unlocked some more powers and guntypes. Started actually reading each piece of lore I found and playing it more cautiously and really started to enjoy myself. Once I unlocked that golden suit jacket it was all over I was sold. Still haven't touched the DLC's but I will someday. Had a good time with it in the end.
