I mean more technology and infrastructure wise. What I've seen of Bulgaria (mostly around Yambol province, so it might just be that part of the country) reminds me of one of those JRPGs where most of the people are farmers but then you have a few people on magitek skimmers. Mostly decrepit farmhouses, people on carts, and leftover stuff from the Soviet Union, and then a couple of people with BMWs and smartphones and things like that.
