should I hack my ps3 super slim ?
Should I hack my ps3 super slim ?
Well yeh why not
why the hen not?
Idk, also there's ps2 and ps1 compatibility right?
do you care about your psn account?
Will I still be able to play the Physical games i bought ?
Emulated through software, like most PS3 models. PS1 emulation is pretty much perfect due to the inclusion of a PS1 chip which is apparently used in the boot process.
HEN it.
Sony doesn't care anymore. SEN Enabler will get you through just fine, and Console IDs cost just a few bucks anyways.
Have u considered google this for urself?
whats google ?
Can't really mod them to the same degree as other models
Unless something is physically broken with the disc drive (one of the reasons to mod) then you should just be able to play just fine.
No, it creates mustard gas.
a bit, but i suppose if i hack it i would probably logout
It sucks a lot too, most of the older models get to have full CFW capability (difference being the PS2/PS1/PSP emulation) and Super Slim gets Super Cucked.
Since this is the PS3 mod thread I'll ask here, is there any way to avoid having to create a PSN account to play PS2 ISOs? Using the PS2 placeholder and everything.
I was thinking to hack it so i can play red dead redemption, what are others must play titles of ps3 ?
You can just mount the PS2 ISOs using webMAN MOD or multiMAN, or hell, any file manager for that matter. Unless you're not using a CFW with Cobra (why would you not use Cobra) then the only way to properly get PS2 games running on your PS3 is either converting into PS2 Classics (the placeholder method). Try to see if you can use your file managers to mount your ISOs straight up.
You should try out this page.
en.wikipedia.org
There are also a lot of multiplats that did not come out on PC, so you should try playing those.
I personally reccomend Armored Core 4answer and Verdict Day if you want to get something autistic.
what the chance of getting my psn account banned if I play an online game with a hacked ps3?
Slim-to-none. If you asked this 5-6 years ago, the chances would've been very high since Sony were cracking down a lot on hacked machines, along with PSPs that had PSN signed into them
this list from leddit is better:

Thanks for the better link, user. I'll check it out myself.
>SEN Enabler
That works? I thought it and PSNpatch were both busted?
MGS4
No, they've been steadily updated as Sony rolled out updates. It's because Rebug won't bother updating to 4.86 anymore and I am not going to install some other shitty CFW ontop of Rebug and risk bricking my console because of it.
I already played most of the MGS series, and I did quite enjoy it.
>Unless you're not using a CFW with Cobra (why would you not use Cobra)
Sadly, my Slim (not SuperSlim) is CFW-able. It's only HEN/HAN or bust. Unless that has changed in the like 2-3 years since I checked.
If I want to hack mine to play offline only, what's the best way?
so is hen the best option for the super slim ?
Well that sucks. I only want to get on PSN for all of five minutes to activate something and then log-off. But I heard doing it through HEN was a complete PITA because Patch/Enabler were both busted.
It's generally just a consensus of "newer Slim/all SuperSlims can't CFW." Sorry user, that's a crying shame for you guys, CFW opens up way more freedom than a simple HEN ever could.
If you want maximum safety considering your situation, then you don't really have any other choice.
Best option? It's the only option.
Fat: CFW. Slim: CFW. Newer Slims/SuperSlims: HEN.
Why is it so ugly compared to the fat and slim?
It was made to be cheap.
