I like parts of it. And hate most parts of it. The desert grew on me, but the friendly 'lord of flies' neighbourhood can suck my dick. The beginning was also a chore.

After work, going to play some DB Kakarot and try to get gud at the combat in that game.

I think killer7 and NMH1 are both good places to start.

Should I emulate the ps3 or wii version of NMH or buy the switch version?

The Switch version is probably best, though I haven't played it. The PS3 version isn't well liked and while the Wii version is a fine choice, it's also censored in Europe and the Switch version is probably the more convenient option.

Game just feels like a beta, it has way too many bugs, and when it comes to graphics there is nothing to prise aswell. I guess it has a couple of moments but generaly its just not a good video game.
