>leaks confirm it's more hard scifi than fantasy scifi
>focus on space exploration
>UI has elements such as oxygen and a star map
>one of the largest games Bethesda has ever made, everyone at BGS is working on it full time
>waited until "the right technology was available" before attempting to make it
>possibility of it coming out next year
What are you all expecting bros? I have a feeling it will be less RPG focused and more survival sim/science focused, think Fallout 4 without perks/level ups and more focus on staying alive and crafting etc. with a heavy focus on exploration and finding/solving space mysteries.
Starfield
I'm expecting the whole game to be held together with bubble gum and dried jizz like they always are
skyrim in space i guess. it's not like they do anything else over there
If they do just abandon the RPG elements in favor of making a survival game I think it could actually turn out alright.
>one of the largest games Bethesda has ever made
Hmm yeah like Fallout 76.
I'm expecting the same kind of quality. And if we're lucky, the writing of FO4.
>bethesda
it will be bad, gameplay wise
it will have serious stability issues that are never fully fixed
it will be poz'd
it will have lewd mods
and i won't play it til a year or two after it's released when it'll be on sale for 10 bucks.
Eh, rather watch a movie
The graphics look like a cleaner Fallout 4.
That's not a good thing.
It suffers the same kind of problems. Where the colors and textures look unpleasant. Like it's all covered in dust.
Is there at all a possibility it will somehow tie into the fallout / elder scrolls universe through some interdimensional travel, or do you suppose it's just it's own thing? Todd did say how this was the game he's wanted to make for 20+ years now.
fallout 4 in space
i love Playstation and sticking things in my butt
>it will have lewd mods
interstellar BDSM alien sex slave trade mod when ?
I mean, maybe. Remember TES was a thing before Todd joined BGS and he just sort of took over the series. This is actually Todd's first fully original project entirely created/thought up by him and a select others. He's probably going to put extra care into this title compared to Fallout and the like since this is essentially his baby.
>somehow tie into the fallout / elder scrolls universe
God I hope not.
Good thing you're here, general. Another space-settlement needs your help. I'll mark it on your astromap.
>possibility of it coming out next year
nope
>hard scifi
>hoping
hard sci-fi kino
>expectations
generic, buggy and unstable bethesda garbage
I'm still more excited for TES6, even though I know they'll fuck that up.
>the closest you will ever get to a Firefly-style space RPG is Mass Effect
It hurts, bros.
>Space game
>Fucking Awes-
>Bethesda
Pass. They hadn't made a game with good gameplay since fallout 2.
they both take place in space, that's for sure
that wasn't even made by Bethesda
Bait.
lets just hope they don't fuck up the modding community this time around, fallout 4's modding tools took longer than skyrims and definitely fucked with the modding community. that being said, sim settlements 2 released for fallout 4 and it's probably the best mod thats ever come out for a fallout game.
It will still be built on Gamebryo, it is guaranteed to be shit.
it literally cannot tie into elder scrolls unless it's a new kelpa
That's not how space travel in TES works.
if you can't fly off planets and land on them in real time without loading screens it's not a space game.
I expect the glitches and bugs on patch day to be some of the finest entertainment ever seen in a long while
Hope its single player
>t.Chris Roberts
>hard sci-fi
Im expecting nothing less than creatures living on a planet with ammonia atmosphere and quicksilver seas.
Hard scifi will be the scifi buzzword for shitty realism attempts
Isn't "realism" or attempting realism the definition of hard scifi?
This game looks a lot like Star Citizen. The idea that Todd dabs on Chris is hilarious.
