it was worse than the originals

The remake was the fastest a game in the series has sold 1 million copies.

It sold well and received pretty good reviews from both critics and consumers. It sold over a million copies in 10 days. Just because it's not talked about constantly on a Mongolian basket weaving forum doesn't mean it was a flop.

I just got into skateboarding at 27 and I feel like I'm not enough of a thrill seeker for this
I'm panicking the entire time I'm trying anything new because all I can think of is eating shit and breaking my arm

It was really good but after a while there just isn't much to do in it so not much to talk about past a certain point.

It can't be played on Twitch with music on because DMCA

Why would I want a remake? I just want a new game.

Are inline skates back in?

Asking for a friend.

cant be scared or you'll never progress. that's a lesson in life, not just skateboarding.

Wrong. Insider reports say the studio is being liquidated.

It's just the same game without any meaningful improvements

It's not on Steam

Yeah but trying new things elsewhere in life doesn't involve risking ER visits

if you're just doing flat ground stuff there's no reason to be scared
worst you'll get at most is a bad scrape
just keep skating bro

>tfw the recent patch made it so you have to get 3m combos to win a round
>this has scared off all the casuals

when I used to skate I would get a lot closer to landing and learning new tricks when I stopped worrying about potential harm that may be inflicted. When I worried to much, I hesitated and never tried anything but ollies.

>paying full price for remakes/ports
I'm still waiting until it hits ~$20, then I'll buy it.

It was great and everyone seemed to love it, however it’s a game you play for like a week and that’s it. The days of couch co-op just aren’t what they were so if you aren’t someone who is into racking up higher and higher scores the games done. Still was a great game.

it did really well
I'm waiting for the non epic version

You're going to get hurt. Anyone who's ever gotten decent, good, or great at skateboarding has gotten hurt. You accept that, you'll be a better skater.

I'm mostly scared because I completely beefed it trying to do a kick turn on a mini ramp recently and ended up going in for an xray
I'm just trying to ease my way back up to that I guess, I've been working on flatground reverts to ease back into that but even that feels kind of scary because the banana peel slip is always a possibility when you're on two wheels and have shit balance

I'm 30 and I still skate almost daily, you just gotta learn how to fall correctly and get over the fear. I've been skating since I was a kid and I've never had a serious injury before.

I'm fine with getting hurt as long as I don't break bones

Thank you user, that helps
It also helped to learn that Tony Hawk never broke anything until he tried doing a loop

Still waiting for steam.

Vivacious Visions has bern there before making the GBA Tony Hawk games. No way in hell that's happening after the Crash N Sane Trilogy.

For some reason skateboarding stopped being a thing that people do in my mind when I got older so whenever I see kids doing it I always get really surprised for a moment. I mean obviously it didn't stop being a thing once my a lot of my generation grew out of it but I can't help but associate it like that.

>it's another "schizo on Zig Forums calls a successful game a flop" thread

This might sound stupid but you can learn to fall better like a stuntman

It wasn't a flop and it's a top 5 best ps4 games.

Skating has always been a niche for only a few people. Much like video games it's easy to observe a skatepark and see who's there to legitimately skate and who's being a poser who wants cred by association.

This is not the 90s anymore. Sadly

Why do you ask questions based on a false premise with the intent of making impressionable people think what you're saying has any merit?

because its epic games only on pc
also games like Session and Skater XL

Exactly. There are cooler things out there to ride instead of a boring plank with wheels.

It's the only moment where they feel listened to.

Holy shit user, I'm from the 90s and even then it was just a fad. It was never meant to last. In the 00s it was already "old".

VV was literally expanded twice last year, stupid

>what is inflation

been playing it all day, it is like the 4th highest rated game of the year OP is a fag

27 is way too old to start gramps put your wool sweater on
