I've played through the whole game with all main stats at 12, which is impossible to get in game, and seen nothing like that

The other guy said it, but I'll back him up: Pick what you'd like to be. Remember that being high in a particular stat will sometimes also mean you ARE going to be doing things relating to that. The hand/eye coordination blurb describes that but I don't think people realise it applies to them all. Smart cops are going to sometimes be too smart for their own good. Just er, if its your first time out don't roll with 1 on physique and psyche, 2 is probably fine.
