I think they're pretty different, NKG is far more memorization-based since all of his attacks are pretty hard to dodge and come out fast but are very predictable where as PV has relatively simple attacks but he can use them back-to-back in awkward situations and they can overlay with each other meaning it requires a lot more reaction and improvisation. I find NKG pretty easy now that I've memorized his attacks and have pre-baked responses to them where as PV I always find difficult.
