By God DB Super is the worst piece of media that was ever created. That shit worked when Goku and Gohan needed to work their flaws and arrogance back in DBZ, but years later I'm sorry there's no way he would keep on making the same mistake every time a villain comes around.

I'd argue the manga is a lot more egregious in its bullshit than the anime was. It's just retreading earlier plots with traced art. I've never seen so much change yet still stay the exact fucking same as much as I have with DBS.

I thought the anime was pretty bad, being watchable only because of a few fucking cool moments, but for years I heard anons say how better the manga was. Finally gave it a go a month ago. Besides "fixing" a few things in the Black saga, everything was considerably worse in the manga than in the anime. The ToP arc was a complete joke. And while the Moro saga started really great, like finally the one thing that would save this dumpster fire, they shat the bed completely and it has become a 1:1 copy of the Cell saga except full on retarded.

The manga was slightly better until the ToP, yeah. Then it went full fucking retard. Toyo is awful, Toriyama is a senile old fuck.

I started haphazardly watching individual clips from the ToP because of YouTube recommendations and then latched on at the last 5 episodes thanks to a crunchyroll trial. Now I'm going back and watching starting from the beginning of the tournament. This is great. I don't think they're ever gonna ToP it.

I wouldn't say slightly better, it was at best at the same level if not worse. U6 vs U7 was better in the anime, the Black saga was less bullshitty in the manga than the anime (no rage Trunks, no space-time Zamasu, no constant back and forth between present future), but at the same time it lacked a lot of the energy the anime had (no Goku going absolutely bonkers on both Black and Zamasu when they taunted him with his murdered family). And the ToP... oh boy. Backgrounds were not even present in most frames, Krillin and Tien got kicked out before even throwing a punch, almost no fight was shown compared to the anime, the whole Roshi-knew-Ultra-Instinct which is more of an asspull than his power-up in the anime, no God Toppo, Kefla being matched with Gohan... What the fuck was that whole arc aside from laziness.

Need I remind you he got bisected, was on the surface of a planet as it blew up, and was still alive enough to be put back together as a cyborg. And that was back when he could be beat by a SS1

Granted, anime U6v7 had the kino Kaioken moment, but I liked that the manga took the time to explain (even if it was a stupid reason) why Vegeta lost to Hit. Although, I think I preferred the anime Hit because he was flat out stronger than both of them from what I could tell.

Goku often shows a bit more brains in the manga too, rather than being 100% waku waku retard mode.
