how do they rationalize this in game? Do they call Caesar a templar? considering he was a populist fighting for reforms that would help the poor and really only started toppling republican institutions AFTER he went to egypt (the time period where this game assumedly takes place) then it makes no sense.
Unless the characters all have precognition and looked into the future to find out that once he finished mopping up all resistance in the civil war he would return to Rome and completely upend the last vestiges of republican institutions. But then again these are Egyptians and why would they care? They were just trading Ptolemaic greek rule for Roman rule, it's not like they even owned their own country anyway.
