Okay so actually hear me out. It's a VR archeology game with autosaves where you can potentially permanently destroy things if you aren't careful or miss artifacts by leaving the site early (you can't go back). You will still always be able to progress (can only leave after getting the 'key' item at each site) but it's expected that you won't learn all of the lore and backstory on the first playthough so you either have to repeat the game or piece it together by talking with others online. The locations get progressively more ancient and strange until you're delving into pre-human ruins trying to decode languages that predate human consciousness.
