I know where Half Life 3 is. Be prepared. It's coming soon.
I know where Half Life 3 is. Be prepared. It's coming soon
Where is it user?
In the final stages. It will be here soon.
Is Half Life 3 a codename for your penis?
I wish it was.
Strictly VR, like Alyx?
No. It's both VR and keyboard + mouse.
I assume you mean that RTS/FPS blend where VR players play as Overwatch and deploy Striders and shit while pancake players play as Combine units. Is that Citadel or the other one?
Prepare for unforseen consequences
A well engineered HL2 RTS would be comfy.
What would be extra special is if you could participate in squads or lead them on the ground in first person view. We need more RTS/FPS hybrids.
Wonder how many anons have made this exact claim over the years.
I mean that you have the option to play SP in VR or keyboard + mouse. That is an interesting idea, however it's not where they wanted to take the game.
Did Alyx sell well enough for them to bother? If I recall they said they'll only bother making vidya again if Alyx and VR sells beyond expectations.
It was one of the many planned and dropped games from Valve.
Considering how backordered they are on Indexes I'd say so
Alyx did extremely well. We figured that it caused at least a 50%-90% increase in index sales. However our main concern is creating a game that innovates. That is what half life is, and we are finally became comfortable in developing the game in a way in which we believe the industry will innovate.
console release? knowing gaben its probably xbox exclusive
It's not planned.
Don't give me hope man, there's no way they'll release it this early after HL:A
confirmed for larp, ms would pay gaben so much money for a console release
holy shit that picture fixes the doctor bitch in p5
It's not happening now, it's just coming soon.
We want to focus on a singular experience on PC.
>People will be terraforming Mars and valve pariahs will still be drooling over HL3 leaks
a half-life game featuring xcom mechanics sounds unironically fun
OHNONONONONO
actually realistic.
i could be wrong but that;s what "Citadel" was originally supposed to be. Valve have experimented with a top-down x-com like RTS for a long time now, first with the cancelled switch game, then the L4D demo, now Citadel
>it's just coming soon.
You mean in 20 years
I've heard this shit for 10 years. I'm not falling for it again. screenshot this reply bitch.
More like a year or so, depending on how bug testing goes.
Done.
I know where Half-Life 4 and 5 are too, but I ain't telling
The half life we love is dead most of the people that created the art style and story are gone.
Congrats you just outed yourself as a dumbass shit poster. Alyx proved to the world that VR game design cannot translate to desktop game design because they are fundamentally different from a mechanical perspective. Level design and gameplay that are fun in VR are not fun on desktop. Same thing applies in the reverse. Valve would never make a game that's playable in both manners because they're completely contradictory to each other from a design perspective.
Don't get about us wanting to innovate you don't understand.
You are a virgin
While I partially agree with this, I don't exactly think valve want to lock a large portion of their fanbase and potential userbase out of half life 3 when it comes out by restricting it.
Even if it's designed around VR I have the feeling it will launch with kb/m compatability.
And this is coming from someone who wants it to be VR focused and only cares about the VR aspect and what they can make of the game at it's best.
OP is a fag
