I'll also point out there's limitations as models are locked to classes. Every class will look somewhat similar and the models are limited in customization. While the facial features and sliders allow for a lot of variety. it only takes you so far since they limit how far you can take the sliders.

No.Do not listen to this guy, the sims 4 is garbage.
The sims 3 has a MUCH better character editor.
With a single mod you get sliders for literally everything, you don't get that half cartoony fortnite style, and you can edit the colors and materials of literally everything. You can dress your sim in metal, rubber, dirt, or upholstery, and you can customize every color.

Sims 4 is a "streamlined experience" in the way that fallout4 "streamlined" the dialogue tree.

DD's character customization allows you to make almost any type of character from midget to giant, loli to grandma better than any other game I can think of, but things like it's face and hair customization are nowhere near the best these days
