They're confusing the uncanny feeling they see looking at her with a mark against the quality of the image. For folks who only care about COOMBAIT, they can't enjoy an artist trying to portray the unsettling elements of Mila to highlight both the fact that she's a lizard creature trying to masquerade as a person, and the fact this Mila is clearly hitting that late stage Degeneration where the Lizard Brain is taking over more and more

I don't think there is anything wrong with any artstyle, I just don't understand why zoomers automatically dismiss Mila because she was done with pencil, ink, and paint on a canvas.
It isn't even hyper-stylized which is often the argument point (like with Resplendent Lucina)

Yes, I'll acknowledge Himukai's strengths but ultimately where it falls apart is their anatomy. The limbs are too short and the face is too potato. It's clearly made with the intent to create a younger looking Lucina but ultimately it appears that by doing so it's divorced from Lucina's inbred appeal. It strays too far from the target zone, just as if Himukai had aged Lucina up by 10 years. If Himukai was truly excellent they'd have been able to not clash Lucina's inbred appeal with their design philopshy, or they should have asked to do a different alt for a younger Hero like one of the Dragons lolis. We'd not be hearing any complaints if Himukai was doing an alt for Tiki or Fae

Himukai literally does characters and body types of all ages for all of their games. It's not a matter of her being able to do one body type. I'd be more inclined to believe that IS wanted it this way, because one look at her track record for FEH so far shows they bring her back for the younger body types.
