Dang. Why are you here?

With all the 80's songs that could've fit the characters' predicament better, why the FUCK choose Take on Me?? It's so out of place that watching the scene makes it look ridiculous with its pretentious deep messaging (there is none) and just plain embarrassing to watch, in the same level as Finny Fun.

>pretentious game has pretentious scene
Just turn your brain off haha

It has an underlying message. Basically Ellie is telling the jewish girl (I forgot her name) to love her now, because tomorrow isn't a certainty in a world full of infected and humans killing each other over resources.

Ok, but:

Amazing. Jesus I bet that was a workout.

Please give up this fucking ruse already. We all know this game is shit. You can all stop pretending there's some deeper meaning behind it that everyone just "doesn't get".

God now I need to go rewatch the Zig Forums animation

>"slowly learning that life is okay"
>"i'll be gone in a day or two"
>out of place

It's kinda cringe i know, but it makes a lot of sense to put that song, also the way Ashley Johnson transforms a supossedly happy song into a sad one was very cool

>post apocalypse is uncertain

no shit.

God I hate TLoU2.

4 million of people have played the game, not everyone is triggered like bunch of crybabies because Joel dies and you play as Abby. There's actually people who like the game and wants to talk about it.

>I'll be gone
Fuck me if only. What I wouldn't give to live in a world where Ellie's annoying ass gets slaughter and we get to play as Joel is his quest for revenge, which he actually completes because he's not a pussy lesbian.

maybe if you're a tub of lard.

It's the only song from the 80s that the target audience would actually recognise.

Joel is boring. Without Ellie his only personality is being mad to everyone. If Ellie dies all character development of Joel goes to shit

late goodbye...

>4 million people played it
>All of them loved it
>There's definitely not video evidence of people playing AND hating the game
It's not about Joel dying or Abby anymore. It's the general insufferable pretentiousness of this game and it's creators. They actually thought it would be a good idea to make us watch two literal uninterrupted minutes of Ellie and her lesbian lover smoking weed and bumping crotches.

>Ellie
>Character Development
Please elaborate.

>I meant Joel's character development. With Ellie Joel becomes a more human person and is less ruthless. He's the typical loner type but at the end of the game he becomes a caring person, at least with Ellie. Ellie dying destroys that character development because Joel was only being a better person because of her

God I love TLoU2

t. never danced in his life

I didn't say that all of them loved it. I don't understand your green text

It's definitely about Abby and Joel. A two minutes (of a 25+ hour game) scene of Ellie and Dina smoking weed and kissing is the least of the problems people have with this game.

duality of man

Fair point, but it doesn't change that Ellie is insufferable and having her alone and unassisted was a bad idea.

>Implying the latter wasn't literally written to spite the former
Imagine being this slow

no, you're a fatass. it's okay. you think dancing is difficult.

By bringing up the fact that "4 million people played it" as some kind of rebuttal to me saying the game is terrible implies that statistic is proof that it isn't. My greentext said there's video evidence, endless playthroughs, proving that despite playing the game, plenty hated it. I brought up the scene because it exemplifies the pretentiousness of the game and can be quickly explained. There are countless more examples, OP being one of them.

if you mean tlou2's Ellie i agree. But to be fair i think that was the point. She needed to make stupid choices so the player stops identyfing with her and her objetive, so it's easier later to empathise with Abby. They could've worked it better though

I'm not that stupid, i was just continuing the joke

Except it didn't work, because plenty still hated Abby by the end of the game.

Mazzy Star's Into Dust would have been great for either of the games.

I'm sorry, I personally feel the "duality" meme is overused and chimped out.

I play this in Rock Band 4.
