For my use case its really based. I also dont "own" my games on steam, so why even care at this point. If I want to own them, might as well pirate them.

That really depends, legal blabber aside, because if you buy on GoG or buy a Steam games that is drm free and can be played offline without steam then you pretty much own it for all intents and purposes.

I think it's worth it on PC. You cannot resell your steam games, so if you are a person who does not replay games a lot you can play new games at release for like $10.
