I never finished it because it’s boring.

>Get fully upgraded best armor
>Get an inventory of best weapons
>Get heaps of the best food
>Max health and stamina
>Basically become as strong as the game lets you be
>Finally ready to challenge Hyrul castle
>It's a piss easy tiny dungeon that ends with a cinematic boss fight
>Realize I probably could have headed there within the first few hours of playing and got through it fine
Fuck everyone for hyping this up as an amazing experience and not typical Nintendo shallowness
Thanks OP, real insightful discussion.
Didn't ask
>Hyrul castle
>tiny dungeon
but that's objectively wrong, it's fucking huge. Who do you think you're foolin?
The first two hours on that plateau were the hypest shit.
It's a game about the journey, not the destination. Everything between the plateau and castle only serves to make the final boss easier.
plateau sucks, faron is the best area in the game
Nothing stoping you from heading straight to the top, avoiding the turrets is mild inconvenience.
so why claim the dungeon is "tiny" if you didn't even step foot in it?
>playing botw
>playnig a game that has dungeons
You can only pick one
I finished boring because it's never it.
hyrule castle is a dungeon though
I agree. I beat all the divine beasts, collected like 1/3 of the koroks, then quit without ever seeing ganon. The game barely feels like a zelda game and i liked link between worlds a lot more.
I said it before and I'll say it again. As flawed as Skyrim is, it was still more fun than this shit. People who defend this game are brainwashed.
is botw the ultimate shit gamer filter?
>filters item hoarders by encouraging you to break weapons and replace them
>filters brainlet button mashers with weapon durability
>filters dumbasses who don't bother to learn game mechanics by introducing rain to hinder climbing
>filters numbskulls who whine about healing in combat that don't understand organic difficulty modes via player agency
>filters retards who dont comprehend shrines and why they are designed the way they are
its one of those games where you need to have a drive to explore outside the given area. yeah the shrines are a way but it feels like busy work, rather than exploring.
fuck off Todd
Sure it filters non Nintendo drones that already played open world games before
true that shits an experience. it took me a while but worth af
just because you're a poorfag with one console doesn't mean everyone else is
Yeah, When I realized I wasn't getting any more slate power things was when the game nosedived for me. I thought they'd be like the items in old zelda dungeons, and you'd get ones like a hookshot or hammer, but no. Just those three
If the second one doesn't do that I don't think I'll get it. I mean like the best part of zelda is getting new stuff and revisiting previously inaccessible areas. I guess the climbing sort of does that but you can just cook some grasshoppers
lmao mad
mad lmao
That's my in depth review for almost every game that released within the last decade.
Please do not steal.
You haven't actually made any point in your post, i hope you understand that.
>filters people who don't like a shit game mechanic
is not a solid defense of the game.
Especially retarded is your defense of the horrid fucking healing system.
>organic difficult modes via player agency
That DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING YOU FUCKING FAGGOT.
You talk like some substandars IQ mongoloid who unironically watches youtube video essayists.
The healing system is fucking dreadful, being able to pause the game at any moment to fully heal yourself with zero risk is fucking abysmal, it trivializes almost any combat encounter.
Dark Souls has been a thing for many years, that's how you do 3rd person ARPG healing in a way that involves risk and reward instead of the way BOTW's healing is a braindead get-out-of-jail-free card.
Kill yourself nigger.
Same OP. I really wanted to like it but it was a snoozefest
faron and desert yes
>Game's story ends
>there's literally nothing else to do
>some small, easy as piss dungeons
>some easy as piss puzzles
>that give you some weapons that'll break in 5 minutes of use or less
>they don't even do cool shit, it's just fire/electric/ice status effects
>enemies are thing, blue thing, black thing, silver thing and repeat over and over
>Even taking pics for the enemy catalog wasn't fun because they all look the fucking same
>unlockable abilities aren't fun to use at all
>game doesn't feel alive so it's not even fun to walk around autistically roleplaying
>the main story wasn't even very fun or challenging
This might be the worst fucking Zelda game I've ever played, I can't believe Zig Forums defends it and I can't believe it got awarded GOTY, this game isn't fucking fun at all. I'm convinced that people here who defend it are only doing it because they follow the "lole u mad xd" mentality.
as much as I like botw and this guy being a clear faggot, he is right about both things.
Game Of The Year
Game Of The Decade
Game Of The Generation.
Zig Forums still mad as fuck about it XD

I wish I was Todd. I'm just stating facts, here.
based
>As flawed as Skyrim is, it was still more fun than this shit.
>filters brainlet button mashers with weapon durability
>weapon breaks
>picks another weapon
>button mashes with it
>b-but the lynel!
Even the silver ones are easy as fuck, if you can't dodge those extremely predictable moves you fail as a human being. Using "le challenge" as a defense for the shitpile that was botw is subhuman logic.
Same homie. I beat all 4 of those "dungeons" and then I quit. Just ran out of steam.
If you ask Shigeru which game was better he'd probably say Skyrim was better. Tell me one fucking thing botw did better than Skyrim besides giving an actual shit about glitches and graphics.
>"the funny bethesda guy said it's better so it must be true!"
really?
>Tell me one fucking thing botw did better than Skyrim besides giving an actual shit about glitches and graphics
BotW isn't a flat sterile world for a start.
The bugs in those games are what make them fun to play/abuse had more fun trying to break skyrim than playing it normally.
>BotW isn't a flat sterile world
Yes it is. What the fuck are you talking about? Did you even play it?
This is on you for being a tard, you collected every resource available to you for an objective that's accessible after the tutorial. What did you think the purpose of getting stronger was? To make the final boss harder?
>Don't listen to game developers. Listen to the 14 year olds on 4channel!
Really?
Cool, I finished it three times because I really liked it.
I agree but what I'm trying to say is that people give Skyrim shit while defending botw when Skyrim was objectively more fun to play. Even when ignoring the gamebreaking glitches
?????????
>when Skyrim was objectively more fun to play
By what fucking measure? It certainly wasn't the controls
i love mipha and got a zora outfit dyed crimson to look like her
>dude it wasn't flat
It doesn't matter, it was still boring and had basically nothing in it just like Skyrim. Ravines alone won't make a game feel more alive, user
BotW's world is alive and dynamic. Skyrim's is not.
I never finished either, but I enjoyed the ~40 hours I put into it
it just ran out of steam
it's the fatal flaw of open world games, imo
