Played for 10 hours straight yesterday. First time in a long time I've played a game that felt like a passion project. Some anons yesterday were saying the rice farming portion was lackluster but I enjoy it as much as the combat/level segments. Have yet to get a nice looking paddy field tho.
Literally dripping with soul
does this work on win7 like ori and the will of the wisp
>tfw my copy was delayed because of the sex release
>so weak that bosses only take 1 damage per hit
>everything else explored 100%
>it's only summer
I don't know about that part.
>"i wonder if i can jump on the roof"
>jumps on roof
>achievement unlocked: farmer on the roof
What's so interesting about it? Looked up the gameplay for a bit, looked ok, but nothing too interesting.
Feel free to write paragraphs about it, I like reading that stuff.
The brick walls you hit is the worst part of the game.
how do you do crash combos?
if you let rice grow past the point that its harvestable do you get better returns?
does fertilizer do anything for stats if you put it on the field when rice isn't growing?
This is what Japan is witholding from you
you tried changing weapon? there are several type of damages.
>jokingly decide to leap off the back of the cliff behind the house while carrying the cat
>plummet out onto the world map
The game is good but the tutorials are bad imo. I found it hilarious that you get a tutorial about fertilizer telling you "you can now use fertilizer" when it's available on day 1, which can lead to bad times if you spent resources there blindly before you unlock the craft or even food recipes.
Battle isn't really clear about what combos do, to. And the item menu is pretty badly designed imo. Took me time to understand you could equip gems on gear.
it does
I'm about to go to bed but the combat system is really good. The farming is fairly deep, not tedious, and gives satisfying progression. Characters are charming.
ok that's my review
>Literally
I hate zoomers
>how do you do crash combos?
Moves that send enemies flying into other enemies. Mainly the one where she spins her hoe around, or the raiment skill where she flings enemies behind her.
>if you let rice grow past the point that its harvestable do you get better returns?
>does fertilizer do anything for stats if you put it on the field when rice isn't growing?
uhh
I'd also like to know these
I actually like that the game doesnt hold your hand through every little thing immediately. If you pay enough attention and experiment, you can figure a lot of things out before you get scrolls for them. And if combat is giving you trouble then try out training mode.
Literally is more of a millennial thing
Thanks for the review. Good night user.
It's finally out?
i want to get this but it's $50
What the fuck was her problem?
Came for the cute anime girl side scroll action.
Stayed for the deep appreciation of rice farming.
I'm up to year 6, the enemies are dealing way too much fucking damage.
There are a lot of time gates, the game seems designed for you to spend a few years doing nothing of note and farming rice, which is lame.
Is it ever worth it to go for brown rice over white? Food bonuses never seem to be massive.
Basado.
the game is unreasonably hard, mostly because the controls are trash
bros do you just wait for winter to pass before you plant new rice seeds?
I already created fertilizer
I just wanna farm rice with a cute anime girl. Is this worth it for me? I like beat 'em ups, but nothing has ever given me enjoyment like Dragons Crown has.
The only real bonuses I go for are natural recover, swift recover, and white rice main meals give overstuffed buff which prolongs food effect.
The stat boosts I am not too worried about right now.
pedo detected
Doesn’t the fertilizer stay around a bit in the fert hole?
wtf am I supposed to do at night bros? only a few hours in
If anything, the game makes you crave a fresh bowl of rice. Now if they had collabed with vanillaware on the food design
Go to sleep, retard.
>Opening cutscene shows they have the system in place for subtitles outside speech bubbles
>But then after that, any dialogue without a bubble isn't subtitled
The 5 minute rice planting song scene is one thing but it even affects gameplay by making Japanese audio hard mode by missing all of Sakuna's field inspecting comments.
Any why can't I bind dash to a trigger button. They're unused anyway.
parry and swing around more. if you stay active and mobile its way harder to get hit.
not much early on. prep some fertilizer for the morning, process whatever food you can.
I was surprised by it. I was expecting a jankier, more barebones game with worse presentation. They really put a lot of effort into this.
