For a alternate universe that had nothing to do with Prime Earth since its existence. On this alternate earth the Peter Parker there died, and Miles was bitten by a similar spider that was manufactured by the same company, if not Roxxon. Miles then went on to take the Spider-Man persona for himself as the replacement before the original Peter Parker of that universe came back to life. After this though Secret Wars happened where the merging of this alternative universe and Prime Earth happened, and Miles is now within Prime Earth. But because there is no one to replace, considering there's dozens of people dressed as Spider-Man including Spider-Man himself existing, Miles has no purpose for being in Prime Earth. Again, Miles didn't exist on Prime Earth until Secret Wars where the merge between two universes happened and Miles was then shoehorned into the Prime Earth Universe where there's dozens upon dozens of people adopting the Spider-Man persona ranging from clones of the Original Peter Parker to completely different people having some sort of buisness within the Prime Earth and otherwise. Just because he has been a character for 9 years does not mean that he can replace anyone adopting the Spider-Man persona within Prime Earth or otherwise, and does not serve as a replacement for Spider-Man in any capacity.

Also keep in mind pic related in future discussions related to Alternative Spider-Men. No one, not Miles Morales, not Miguel O Hara, not Ben Riley or anyone else can truly be Spider-Man besides Peter Parker.
