Yeah, but that's just one thing innit?
When you make these templates you usually want them to be flexible style-wise while also having a theme.
OP's characters are difficult to replicate, have absolutely nothing in common and the situation itself is as bland as it could be.
Even the unapologetically fetishistic templates have more creative potential just by having a concept to expand on.

What I find fascinating is to browse through the archives and observe how different subjects of princess threads affect the amount of replies they get.
Really makes you see how powerful engaging character design could be.

the knight could use either a bulkier or a more androgynous design depending on where you wanna take it
the princess has too much detail, could really get rid of the lips and simplify the body shape
the chain looks a bit out of place, I would've drawn using simple thick black lines
otherwise this is a classic scenario that admittedly is still a little bland, but at least allows more room for creativity

It's not as simple as character design or scenario. It's often just random. Princess threads with arguably shitty template can hit bump limit while great ones can be DOA. The most important factor is usually smuttability and time of day

I've made a shitload of those throughout the years and there's definitely a pattern.
A poorly designed template can give birth to a lasting thread, but that usually happens due to it being derailed or taken over by a single drawfag producing porn at a fast enough rate.

I'm gonna go with either the construct or the tracker. At the very least the worst thing the tracker will do to me is leave me. All others are objectively awful and I'd be better off without them.
