I've been making it a hobby to go to mom and pop stores or retro game stores just pick up some old ps2 games that look interesting. While not every game is good, I find that at least every game I've picked up has had notable concepts. Just picked up this one, Urban Reign, Beat Down, Devil Kings, and Gundam encounters in space. Do you guys still search for hidden gems in the ps2 library?
PS2 Hidden potential
I beg of you OP share your favorites with me. I'm itching to play something on my hacked PS3.
>Do you guys still search for hidden gems in the ps2 library?
No, I played them all like 12 years ago.
Play blood will tell
I personal favorite obscure game from the PS2 that had a lot of potential was Chaos Legion, fun little action game from Capcom with summonable "Legions" that add on to your move set the more you use them. Also had a great soundtrack
that's the Dororo game right? I think I have it somewhere in my collection I'll give it a try
Is this the game that wants to make sure you're looking at the girl's pantsu at all times so it constantly pans the camera down for you to see it?
You probably have played this one because it's more a must play than a hidden gem, but play Godhand
way ahead of you, didn't like the camera at first but after a while it grew on me
the lead designer was the guy who did the designs for Senran Kagura so yes, every opportunity they will flash her panty's
This game has cool box art but is not that great once you actually boot it up.
Get a hard drive and network adapter and experience data hoarding instead of buying physical discs.
already bought a hard drive but there is something about owning a physical disc that I can't get over. Even on modern consoles I make sure to buy the games I care about on disc
>Do you guys still search for hidden gems in the ps2 library?
Used to do this all the time pre covid. I collect a lot of niche gamecube and ps3 games. Definitely my favorite era of gaming.
Ps2* for fucks sake. Only ps3 games I own are sly, jak, and ratchet trologies
Yes, but Red Ninja is absolute ass in gameplay.
Pic related, really amazing tactical mech game with some really neat designs, it follows the "realistic" mech design school instead of going full anime.
This. Theres no hidden gems for me anymore since i own or played most of them since i used to almost buy every cool looking title that came out weekly during the ps2 era. Ill even name ribbit king for you fags. Who doesnt wanna froggolf?
I'll check it out, the last tactical mech game I played was front mission 3. Is this comparable to that?
This "hidden gem" looks like a shitty tenchu clone
It is. Emphasis on shitty.
after two hours of playing it is, but there are some cool concepts in it. If they focused more on the development of speed instead of the supposed stealth I think they could of had a cool ninja action game.

Grim Grimoire
Haunting Ground
Herdy Gerdy

Tsugunai Atonement
Primal
thanks for the list, I'll check out the ones I haven't heard of before
just picked this one up not too long ago but I haven't given it a shot yet, what am I in for?
I really love Shadow Tower Abyss, it's like a King's Field game but set in a really weird world more akin to something like Sacrifice, Oddworld or Zeno Clash rather than anything FromSoftware did.
Jade cocoon 1 on PS1 and jade cocoon 2 on ps2
Hot
Does Silent Hill count? I got lucky and managed to find some cheap copies online for the first three games.
>could of
That boxart gave me a fetish for open tops.
Is God Hand worth the $80?
