Most of the characters in FFVII are cool by the standards of the late 90’s and early 00’s. That’s part of why the game was such an Earth shattering success. If the OG FFVII released today, it wouldn’t be as popular.

I am interested to see what they will do with Vincent and Yuffie in the second remake. One thing I do kind of hope for is more characterization for the two.

Whatever it is, it will probably be horrible and contrived. I personally would like to see more Vincent suffering but I think it's more likely they will tone it down.
