>turn-based
miss me with that gay shit

>English only

But it's not? You can switch to japanese voices immediately.

turn based JRPG with endless menu modifications.

Yakuza is dogshit

>chink protagonist
>turn based combat

gee i wonder

when i heard that i was thinking it would just be part of the sub story as a gag but when i found out it was the whole game and NOPEd the fuck out. shame because the west really started to like the series.

I got it for the sexbox, it's a lot of fun so far.

I bought rice loli instead.

>series finally becomes successful
>change the genre in the next entry
What the fuck was their thought process?

too fuckin expensive for a JRPG

GTA wouldn't work very well but they need to expand the Yakuza series.

Its a great game unironically
It's the only game i've played lately that was made with love and fun and you can feel it
pity it will go unnoticed

Attached: 1594438582592.png (397x448, 86.01K)

Once you've played one you've played them all

I'm not paying $80 for some fucking turn based shit.

I'll wait a few months for the crack.

Because Nagoshi is a tranny pandering faggot who also doesn't want Kiryu in fighting games because he "doesn't want him fighting women". Also adds pro-blackie/multi-culti changes in remasters.
The franchise deserves to die.

>that was made with love and fun and you can feel it
there's nothing love and fun about adding literal gacha and paid DLCs in a beat em up series. Not even japs liked it

Because the main character looks like an afro headed dreamworks smirk faggot in a bullshit RPG style game.

The turn based combat is way better than that mindless beat em up combat from before honestly.

>turn-cringe saying anything about mindless
unless there's a timer, turn-based will always be the most mindless genre out there

Attached: 1603724398033.jpg (567x477, 36.31K)

Just release 3-6 on Steam, Sega you fucking retards!

>100 dollar digital edition
no. The game looks fun but I'll wait.

>says the DMC nigger
Punching bag sims are the real mindless shit my friend.

Why do you lie?

numbers dont lie
segabits.com/blog/2020/01/22/yakuza-7-launch-day-numbers-weakest-in-main-series-20-drop-from-yakuza-6/
worst selling Yakuza game in history

yakuza 7 has gacha? how so?

Menu modifications?

I noticed this yesterday when it peaked at like 8k people. That is...really bad. I'm going with everyone calling it Yakuza 7 and no one having a fucking clue about what the game actually was. People are not going to buy the 7th entry of a game without all the others. These are like indie-tier numbers. I am very sad about its poor sales on steam but a lot of people probably went the xbox route.

Sales ≠ disliking the game. A bunch of people got butthurt that this entry ditched the mediocre beat 'em up combat and didn't buy it, but that doesn't mean the people that bought it disliked it.

what is a menu modification?

t. someone 6 hours into the game

Y0 had a higher peak and that was a re-release, not launch. Y7 having lower numbers mean danger
Japs made multiple comments on twitter saying the turn-based gameplay is much simpler than DQ. That's a big no-no

I just watch le funny random japanese humour cutscene on youtube while blasting le dame dane dene lololol xD

majima is so crazy haha

store.steampowered.com/app/1261270/Yakuza_Like_a_Dragon_Pachislot_Machines/?curator_clanid=37715086
there's more dlcs too and the JP version had even more which caused controversy like NG+ and jobs DLC

Your own source says "Genre change is affecting the game as expected, but reception is good." You can keep grasping at nothing, but the general consensus is that this is a good game in both the west and Japan.

>170 hue bucks on steam
Nah tx m8, I'll wait till is below 100

>dude 12 people said the game is good therefore its good
>just ignore the millions of people that left the series lol
Nagoshi said he's going back to beat em up genre if this didnt sell well. Looks like he has to uphold that promise

Attached: 1464472649804.gif (245x175, 446.66K)

I just got done playing it for a couple hours.
So far the story has me more immediately hooked than previous entries. I really like the characters.
Playing as a bumbling moralfag as opposed to the chad moralfag that is Kiryu is also nice for a change.

Attached: 1235140_20201111113410_1.png (1920x1080, 1.36M)

Makes my heart weep people are this retarded and stubborn to change.
It's unironically a great Yakuza game and a love letter to all JRPGs out there.
The turnbased combat is quick and fun, I was weary too in the beginning but once it get's rolling after the intro it's great
Also the crew actually feels close, which is a big plus for me.

>Dude those 2,000+ Japanese reviews that gave it an average of 4.5/5 don't reflect the general perspective of Japanese gamers
This place is rotting your brain, user.

Probably because its fucking Yakuza 7 and we don't have Yakuza 3-6 on PC still, and 7 spoils shit especially from 6.

skipping this one.

How the fuck are so many people getting filtered by the turn based combat? Yakuza has NEVER had combat that was above "passable" and people are pretending that they loved it all of a sudden. The fact if the matter is the story is great and the side activities are fun as fuck. The only DLC thing I don't like is the extra jobs that you miss out on in the job pack but its 2 "classes" that look like memes anyway.

>turd based combat
>still refuse to port 3/4/5
i ain't buying

Attached: 1485611065647.jpg (500x372, 26.18K)

if you actually use Amazon reviews as a metric of success then sites like resetera, IGN, and twitter are part of it.

Learn to take the L and realize that nobody buys a piece of shit and those that bought it aren't the majority

have sex...seriously. I'm not even being condescending.

we dont have 3, 4, 5, or 6 on PC. RPCS3 emulates 3-5 but 6 is not there.

Good to see the devs are representing their future majority demographic. NiggJaps.

>not liking a game is "filtered"
ah yes the buzzword. Include soul in your post and maybe you'll get genuine replies

Attached: 1493932436047.png (680x528, 117.13K)

Yeah for sure, I love Ichiban's character development so far and can't wait to see where it goes. I honestly had relatively high hopes for the game and am pleasantly surprised that they met them.

All busy playing it. I just paused to look for a post to say how good it is. It's fucking great, having a blast. The JRPG combat works perfectly and flows really well, great characters and a decent plot, too. Easy to get invested and immersed. The only thing I think they could have done better is the pop-im, even on a 3080 FTW3 with everything set to absolute max it still pops stuff in like 50ft in front of you. Doesn't make sense when it's running at 120fps with no stutter, should have had a LOD scaler.

>pc
>buying a game at full price
I have plenty of games to play. I'll buy it when it's a fraction of the price.

If you genuinely play Yakuza for the combat then there's something wrong with you. I love the series but I wouldn't for one second say it's a masterpiece of a brawler. It's always been about the story, atmosphere and side content.

>$60+ for turned based combat.
people will unironically defend this.

What L is there to take? A bunch of people that didn't play the game say it's bad because it changed the genre and the vast majority of people that actually played it said it's good. It being a good game and selling poorly are not mutually exclusive. I realize we're on Zig Forums and everyone just likes to shit on things they will never actually try, but at least try to apply some common sense.

>i enjoy spending time waiting for my turn
do you enjoy spending time in long lines as well?

Are there actually retards that think beat-em-ups are more braindead than turn-based. YOU LITERALLY CHEESE THE WHOLE GAME BY SPAMMING ONE MOVE IN A MENU WITH NO DANGER OR AWARENESS WHATSOEVER.

A literal toddler than finish this game. People already reported zero difficulties in this game

>Yakuza 7, the latest entry in Sega’s quirky face-punching franchise, has reportedly sold more than 400,000 copies according to sales reports.
For reference Judge Eyes at 240k sales after roughly a month of being on shelves was considered a massive success.

>On January 13, 2019, Media Create revised its sales figures to 240,293 copies.
Also for reference 6 sold only about 500k in Japan and Asia combined and was considered a massive success.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakuza_6:_The_Song_of_Life#Sales

What kind of a stretch are you making that the free pachislot DLC is gacha when it doesn't accept anything but in-game currency and you get infinite currency in the Slots game mode from the main menu?

>NOOOO YOU CANT JUST SHUT DOWN THIS ILLEGAL WHOREHOUSE THESE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT GIRLS CANT FEED THEIR KIDS ITS PART OF HECKIN JAPANESE CULTURE

Give me one reason why Bleach Japan were the villains in this

Attached: 1601492341222.gif (112x112, 22.91K)

>zero
nice bait.

This game is fucking awesome.
Holy fucking shit it shits all over the last few Yakuza

fpbp

I'm so suprised that there are that many people who haven't played jrpgs before. It honestly holds up and feels like paper Mario in the way the combat flows so I don't get people losing their shit over it.

Should include the fact that it ended up doing alright there thanks to digital sales, and achieved the highest digital sales in the series in Japan.
The game reached 400,000 copies sold in March, which is around the same as other entries (3 sold 500,000 by 2010, and dead souls sold under 500,000 a year after its launch)

opinions are not facts user.
