This is disgraceful, this is an insult to the original product and is worse over the original in every possible way. I can't believe it was this bad, I didn't expect it to be good but this is an utter blunder, I was a pretty big fan of the original and to see it being shat on like this is kinda sad, I didn't have any expectations for the remake, but I expected it to be, 5/10, I guess?

It wasn't mediocre nor perfect, it was a decent/good shooter which set itself apart by its aesthetic and visual gimmicks, those things set it apart and they are still very unique, a very few games managed to capture that comic style, no other game pot so much effort into it as XII did and that alone makes it pretty special

Christ, I knew it was going to ruin the aesthetic but this is on another level of lazy.
At least with stuff like Spyro Reignited and N. Sane Trilogy you can tell the artists tried even if the art direction wasn't one many people agreed with.

If any game deserves the claim of SOULLESS it's this. They legitimately didn't even try.

Normally, I'd laugh my ass off it was a game standing on its own merits, its own IP, but this is harming a cool niche game which most people forgot about, there is a risk most people will remember XII now not as a pretty cool/interesting FPS, but as a shitty, broken, barely playable FPS.
There is clearly no respect, no passion for the original project at hand, these lazy fucks just got license sand they decided to cash in on it. They couldn't even be arsed to make a functional shitty FPS.

If you are remotely interested in discovering XIII just read the comics and play the original.

the controls, level design, and AI is below par for a 2003 FPS, which was a very saturated genre at the time. it also had stability issues on the PC. I appreciate what they tried to do with the story, the strong source material helped it, but again NOLF just did every thing better. Duchovney wasn't that amazing desu.
