I ran a 4670K/GTX 770 build until last year when the power delivery on the motherboard finally shat itself. That 770 was a fucking champ
Using a 3900X and a hand me down 2080Ti until I can figure out which of the new GPUs I want. It's nice not being poor anymore, also fuck Intel

You're not a poorfag. I'm playing on my laptop that has a 7th gen i5 CPU and an intel HD620 GPU.

If you upgrade your CPU you need a whole new motherboard for it.

If you're upgrading RIGHT NOW grab whatever's newest from AMD in your price range, like a b550 motherboard with some ryzen processor that does better in benchmarks than your old one

The rest of the pieces can slowly be upgraded after that, by swapping them out one at a time like the GPU or grabbing a SSD

Don't forget you need ddr4 ram for a new motherboard, it's not backwards compatible with ddr3

Built this a year ago and have been pretty happy but slightly worried about how the 2060 will handle the next few years (I got it at a really good deal).

Is this enough for modern gayman? Assuming I don't want to go 8k res or some stupid bullshit. My friend wants to give me his old PC which already has 16 gb ram and an big SSD and HD on it but he's keeping the current video card on it to mine bitcoin with. I don't know the CPU but I'm assuming it's fine because it's only a few years old.
