What bout games like soulcalibur vi, Granblue fantasy or dbz

I really really want granblue but I know I’ll just be waiting 3 hours for someone to fight online. I don’t have any IRL friends

Never enjoyed them too much desu. All have next to no players apart from DBFZ, but Soulcal is probably a good choice if you're one of those singleplayer weirdos.

+R is getting plenty of activity cause of the rollback beta

Tekken 7 and SoulCalibur 6. 2D is obsolete and boring. Embrace 3D movement and fundamentals.

Streets of Rage 4 is also on sale. It's sorta like a fighting game.

USF4 is $5 and it's pretty good

Tekken you could maybe make that argument but SoulCalibur literally has the 8 way run combined with vertical and horizontal moveset interaction you dunce

Both games make no use of their supposed third dimension. A real 3D fighter would be Bushido Blade.

sidestep is quite good in sc6, and realigning yourself is also important because of ringouts.

Soul Cal 6 is a great game even if you're just playing it casually.

Them's Fightin' Herds is easily the best entry level anime fighter, basically perfect netcode and the only story mode that actually feels worth a shit in the genre though only the first chapter is out yet, as well as great quality of life stuff like great lobbies and training mode.
Both Guilty Gears are great and worth having, +r has GGPO now so the online experience is better there(though after the beta ends you have to wait for the full release for it to come back) and Xrd is easier executionally and has a real tutorial.
Blazblue CentralFiction is worth having, fun to mess around in because of how unique the characters are, might at some distant point in the future also get a rollback patch.
Killer Instinct is great and on sale on Steam, but I'd recommend getting it on the MS Store instead because that version has full crossplay while the steam version is limited, which is kind of a hassle, but there's no other real problems with it and you can still play with xbox users in non-ranked modes so if you don't care about that the steam version is fine and definitely worth 10$. It does also go on sale for 10$ on the MS Store sometimes, but isn't now.

As much as I adore TFH and its tutorial and pixel lobby system, I wouldn't recommend it to new players at the moment as the only players left are all hardcore autists devoted to it.

I'm done buying fighting games. I keep buying them and not playing them.

I bought a PS4 just to play GBVS (and coom to waifus) and dropped it in 2 weeks. Hundreds of dollars down the drain.

I also own dozens of other fighting games on Steam. No more for me.
