They really should've gone all in with Futaba's neet-ness, she's too perfect otherwise and not very interesting.

Nah, Daphne is cute, arguably cuter but she always comes off as a dumb cocksleeve for Fred meanwhile Velma had an actual personality. Interest in her was always there but grew when they stopped making her as frumpy.

Velma is the one that gets to do cool things and lose glasses. Daphne was kind of just there until they decided she was bankrolling the team. Velma is kind of crap in the last few shows, but Daphne gets to be goofy.
