Everyone who bought FFXV on release deserved a full refund. Game was blatantly unfinished and they butchered the shit out of it to sell a movie, OVAs, books, DLC, etc.
The game being a massive dumpster fire is objective fact. The only thing that's questionable is whether they intentionally left it unfinished and tried to milk fans for all they could, or if they literally ran out of time and were forced to just dump whatever they had.

XIII's only saving grace over XV is that they put the script and intended plot details in a codex for you to ignore. XV doesn't even respect you that much, shit randomly happens and you're expected to roll with it because the entire premise falls apart at the slightest bit of scrutiny.

as heavily fucked as 7R is it's still an actually fun game which is a miracle for modern FF games and I can only hope they keep the fuckery to a minimum with the other parts
