Are Playstation exclusives really worth it?

I ques Demon's Souls would be the only reason. Why would you buy a n entire console just for one game lol.

i was gonna buy a ps5 cuz im bored but its broken shit garbage and so is the xbox so I got an ocolus quest 2
good decision

Decent games worth playing.
> Are they worth buying a gay station for?
Fuck no. You shouldn't cuck yourself for 7 years with Sony just for them.

Yes, they're all good.

This is how I break it down.
For PS God Of War, Spiderman, and Ghosts of Tsushima are all games I enjoyed. But they are story driven games where they are very heavily focused on the experience and world. That's where Playsation has always been for me. Even older consoles with Metal gear solid 1-4, Ratchet and Clank, and Jak.
PC is amazing for multiplayer gaming and community. Shooters are garbage anywhere else and you're wasting your time on console with them.
Nintendo is the perfect High score arcade classic systems. If you're craving casual arcade fun for an hour it's the best way to go with no competition.
Xbox is great if you don't want to sink the money and dedication into PC. Still great for multiplayer, but a lot more casual. It's the only system I don't go out of my way for as I have a PC.

horizon zero dawn, days gone, bloodborne, ghost of tsushima, spider-man, last of us and persona 5 made getting a ps4 worth it for me, coming from a 360 in 7th gen. People love to shit on movie games on Zig Forums but you really can't find many experiences like those above on pc or nintendo, starting to feel like sony is the last bastion of decent AAA games with no micro-transactions and decent stories.
My only problem with sony is they're starting to be like ubisoft where they have a template of games that works (3rd person, open world with busywork, with crafting/looting new gear) but it's starting to get a little stale after a whole gen of it.

They aren't.

Playstation fans just lower their standards because they haven't got anything better.

I didn't have a ps4 so I will buy a ps5 for all the games I missed.
apparently most of them run at 60fps now, there are still a few ones that I hope will get their frames unlocked.

Last Guardian for example runs at perfect 60fps but only if you don't patch it (since a patch locked the framerate to 30 fps). This is something that would be super easy to fix, yet it feels so unreliable whether they will put even just this little effort into improving these "not block-buster" games

It's kind of sad that your image was the entire last gen for Sony.
You look at it and go "wait, that's really all there is?"

But it isn't? Gravity Rush 2, Bloodborne and Astrobot are not in that image.

and uncharted 4

ONLY ON PLAYSTATION*
also on pc

and they're locked to ps now at 720p30fps what a fucking joke

None of these interest me enough to make a purchase

As a PC fag i just buy a console at the end of its generation second hand. Did it with PS3 and now i'll do the same with PS4.

Was Days Gone any good, I remember the selling point of it being some shit about big hordes of zombies but then they showed it off at E3 or something and it just looked like a generic stealth-shooter usually Ubisoft affair?

Sure if you enjoy games like Uncharted and the likes. I got bored of that shit in PS3 gen.

Exclusives are the only reason to get a console

Personally believe rts exclusives on games on pc are a lot better to have

it's decent.
hordes are fun to prepare for and fight and there's a steady gear progression so you're always getting new weapons and bike parts, performance was shit on launch but is decent now.
Story's okay, it's nothing amazing and drags a bit at the end but the true ending has a pretty cool twist.
Open world stuff is standard with bandit camps and the like but it isn't ubisoft levels of grind just enough to keep you going to the end and the world itself (rural oregon) is pretty fun to explore, most of the buildings are enter-able too which is pretty neat.

>I ques Demon's Souls would be the only reason.
buying a new console so you can pay $70 to buy a 2009 game with slightly improved graphics sounds insane to me.
if that's really the only PS5 exclusive you want, you really should wait until more games are released.

>most of the buildings are enter-able too
Well that's a pretty massive step-up from Ubisoft's usual showing

>80 buck plus tip for a remake
lmao
Snoys love getting fucked up the ass.

Wait till the end of the generation. Pick up the best version of the console for 200 and you can get all the good games fully patched in their GOTY editions for like 100 to 150. You are good to go.

Why does Sony still label games with that after Yakuza and Horizon went to PC?

yeah, it was actually a nice surprise for me when i played it because it's surprisingly immersive having detailed interiors to most of the buildings in the open world, very few games outside of rpgs really do that

Because Sony has always been a completely honest and truthful company user.

I almost bought PS4 for HZD but decided not to at the last minuted and went for a GTX1080 instead. When it was announced on PC I was really happy to be able to play it but the first 2 hours of that game are extremely boring garbage. Everywhere you go you see people praising the story in this game. I'm 36 hours I really don't see it. Aloy is supposed to be this character who's shunned and hated by almost everyone but right at the start of the game when you're finally able to explore the world everyone already loves her and she's so good at everything she does that even kings and veteran warriors praise her like she was the second coming. Everyone is so ugly and forgetable and the feminist agenda behind every plot point makes me cringe every time. I learned to enjoy this game by turning off the HUD and speedrunning every main quest just to fuck around with dinosaurs. The game looks fantastic and the gameplay is solid but people praising the story and characters are mentally ill.

All those games suck except for Bloodborne.

>ocolus quest 2
>he is a facebook slave
Lmao

it's normie bait these days, not even DeS is worth it since the PS3 version is better and free on PC.

Goddamn that image looks boring as fuck.

Demon's Souls is not fucking worth anything. It's a remake of game that didn't need a fucking remake.

I agree the facebook integration is absolute bullshit but a jailbreak is in the works so up yours buddy.

This console has no fucking games
Get a PS2, 3 or VIta instead. Any of them will fill that game shaped hole.

They all look the same to me.
The good PS exclusives are now multiplats.

Sushi Man is the only one I'd actually want to play on PC.

They are great if you are into soulsborne or those cinematic adventure games. It also has some jap games.
Xbox in the past was very shootan/driving oriented but now we see a huge shift toward wRPGs.
Switch is the home for first party exclusives, jap games and indies.
I always thought this choice is very simple and feel weird when people try to push their platform beyond that.

Honestly, the Ps4 is the last straw for me. I got it at launch when I didn't have a job. I remember only wanting it for Kingdom hearts 3, and Final fantasy vs 13, maybe the The last guardian too. As I was waiting for those games to release I didn't buy a whole lot of games. I played a bunch of demos and mainly used Netflix on the Ps4. (some games I recall buying are multiplatform ones) Then when Kh3 and now FF15 came out I was let. down. I vowed to myself that Persona 5 was going to be my last Ps4 game (at this time I was back into playing crpg on my computer) persona 5 was disappointing at the end. It was nowhere near the disappointment of Kh3 and FF15 but I felt it just wasn't a grand adventure compared to Persona 4. God of war came out, I bought it since I do love kratos and wanted to complete his story. They butchered the fuck out of him in the new one. I felt they were trying to copy the last of us by making kratos into joel.

Here I'am looking at the PS5 completely uninterested in it. The new god of war is ragnorok, it's supposed to be EPIC but I don't even know if they're going to make it as epic as God of war used to be. The new Final fantasy is also on ps4, I'm interested in it, but no way am I going to buy another Playstation when I can technically still use my ps4. I'm playing Dragonquest 11 on it now, I'm enjoying it greatly. A game that's not PlayStation exclusive...
