How do I beat the game? I genuinely don't get it.
I have like 17 hours of playtime now and I've been past Nisi base 3 times.
1 of those 3 ended in the jungle, 2 ended in the temple of the art.
I feel like every single time I get filtered by Nisi because I simply can't kill shit fast enough before it chunks my HP down. My successful runs have been lightning bolt with explosion/light resistance, and then 2 shotgun spams.
On my very last run I had a really good shotgun, was a double cast shotgun, had extra crit, had decreased spread, spawned a billion bouncy balls upon impact, projectiles turned to fireworks on impact, and it still took forever to kill anything in the temple of the art.

Maybe analyze whats killing you most often and try to play bit less aggressively, or maybe youre not building wands that are stronk enough. Hiisi base is kind of easy with a good wand and a bit of awareness.
Ive done hiisi base with nothing but a crystal once, it really does way too much damage and you can just hide behind steel allday

What's killing me is not being able to kill enemies quickly enough. If I have to take 10+ shots with my shotgun to kill even one of those 3 headed flies in the temple of the art, then sooner or later something is gonna graze me and take some of my HP. Even more so when I have to fight more than just one mook. Which is most of the time.
I usually have one low recharge/delay wand to spam normal attacks (shotgun, or any of the shit you start with) and one for explosions. Basically what you start with but putting it on better wands/adding passives. The spells that have a max amount of casts don't really seem to work unless I also get unlimited spell casts perk.

I would say most players like the challenge, its more interesting when you have a bit of an spell economy where you replace wands you dont use with others that have good spells on them just to rip them out in the next checkpoint.
Besides, theres that perk that lets you do that anyway.

half of the fun of the game is tinkering with wands, you will stagnate with that part of the game if you keep waiting to roll for a 1 in a 90 perk to appear, just my 3 cents

I was trying to get the New Game+++ in game achievement and for some reason instead of going from NG++ to NG+++, it gave me the toxic gold ending.
Think I'm gonna put the game down for a bit because that was a big time commitment for no payoff.
It was my first time doing NG+ stuff too, but I had a ridiculous damage wand that was carrying me.
I really like what they do to the main zones in NG+, and really dislike what they do to the side areas.
