great, again, mostly just event shit you see all of in 10 minutes of play time. and i'm assuming the january update will just add a few temporary event things for valentines day and nothing else.

this game killed any potential enthusiasm i had for this series. unless the next game is a huge change back to how new leaf and older games were i am done with this series forever. fuck this game.

I fully expect all of this to return by next year. Why did it take them so long to make all this stuff? They're probably working on Splatoon 3 right now which is slowing thing down a lot.
I doubt future games will have improved much. As much as i love NL, it was the one that began the change that AC is now. Considering how well NH sold I would expect more of the same.
i put in over 400 hours, there's NOTHING TO DO AND ALL THE VILLAGER INTERACTIONS AND EVENTS FUCKING SUCK. I am done putting up with this legitimately awful game. I'd rather play literally anything else from my backlog than waste a second longer playing this boring garbage fire.

That doesn't change the fact that there's less furniture sets, the NPC dialogue absolutely sucks and their characters have been vastly tamed down and homogenized. Also there's no more fun nintendo branded stuff. Remember playing old school games on the 64/GC version?

I wanted new hairstyles but they aren't anything like I was hoping for. Good about the storage, though. Can we finally store flowers in there like in NL? I'm excited for the next couple of months at least. There's something to do in November and I love winter in AC. My island will be full of Christmas trees.

Huge doubt. They need to pad out time to claim "lasting support" before they stop. Im sure the game will no longer receive monthly updates once we reach the 1 year anniversary at which point they will release a final big update or release fewer lighter updates before dropping support. This game was a marketing ploy from its announcement trailer to all these light "free updates".

There's no way they're done updating. There's still several things datamined in the code that haven't been release yet like gyroids, the roost and a museum shop.
The first updates included permanent improvements like Red and Leif, ded game if they don't support it more than just holidays

Some of those changes started with NL and even CF. The market was entirely different 20 years ago, m8. Why do you thinking they added smartphones to the game before fixing long lasting series issues? Just like BOTW, Odyssey, smash, and the switch itself. This game does the bare minimum of what it needs to do.
So the first year of updates was mostly just seasonal events, I'm surprised they even added Redd and Leif. Maybe they'll start adding missing content starting from March?

Even if they put all that back in, it wouldn't be enough for me. I want new things as well and stuff to do other than checking the shops for a few minutes a day and then turning the game off.

So far every update has been seasonal along with some returning events/items. I doubt there will be many updates post the 1 yesr anniversary.
Nintendo items will start to roll out in March. The Roost, Gyroids, and more store upgrades are also pretty prominent from datamining. Then again, they could have easily added cooking around this time, so who knows how they’re actually rolling all of these features out.

It's still not clear if there's any cooking in this update. We can see the player giving pumpkins to franklin, which probably means there could be more ingredients, but I won't be hopeful.
There's also new decoration items like a pot and dishes which goes with the thanksgiving season, so there could be 'cooking' feature
Pave, he does festival/carnival. In pocket camp it was extremely extravagant shit while in new leaf/city folk the furniture set was pretty subdued.
