The only good argument I've actually heard laid-out against Billy is simply that he isn't as good as he claims. Using the emulator itself isn't the issue, but from people who have competed with him in real life, it seems more likely his old scores were effectively tool-assisted to cobble together what looks like amazing runs. Apparently he's pretty mediocre when he plays in person.
