Why is nobody talking about this game? It's basically Among Us in 3D with guns, and it's also free-to-play which means even Zig Forums can afford to join in. I installed it yesterday after watching Mandalore's video on it, and I had a lot of fun just playing with randos. Would probably be even better with some Zig Forumsros to team up with.
Unfortunate Spacemen
I played it before, but with among up becoming popular, they made that stupid council clearly inspired by among us and lost interest in it.
gonna try it now, any advice?
Definitely do the tutorials, also you should not play impostor for your first few matches until you get a feel for the flow of an average match. The impostor is kinda OP, but you can't blow your cover too soon or it turns into a manhunt you will probably lose.
Oh, and don't play on Duress, it's a really janky map that will probably just give you a bad impression of the game.
as monster, shoot cameras when people aren't looking, carry eggs to follow people to the EME then push them in, turn off the power at some point(think you can do this 1 time), make use of the color blind virus, make use of locking doors and isolating people to kill them then dip but make sure you don't lock yourself in a 1 way with lots of people around.
also as spaceman, make use of the camera's, it's really underrated(4 on keyboard). sometimes you can find a monster transform and get a hint of what his color was before he murders someone.
Honestly the maps feel kinda too big
Most of the time it feels like the monster dies on the other side of the map and nothing interesting happens
Did they finish the dead linger yet?
>Why is nobody talking about this game?
They just started.
over 110 hours in it already, 1.3 is looking to be great
ask me for advice if you want
please stop calling this among us in 3d. Its clearly a TTT clone.
All hidden role games are Mafia clones.
regardless of which side you're on, try to dominate power weapon grabs whenever possible
>lock doors when the weapon pod is at 13-14s
>stun baton nearby spacemen
>shove competition out of the way
>flash grenade the canister at 0s
>practice the timing and use empty hands (don't mash E)
getting shotgun early game is a big help whether you're spacemen or monster
railgun should be your next grab as monster/ flamethrower for spacemen
(you can still grab the FT and dump it somewhere as monster to deny spacemen)
a good meta for monster is to run posterior claws (air dodge is amazing) chitin (for extra regen) and nocturnal or titanium claws (power surge bonus/damage bonus)
remote arm a power switch with N
steal a keycard off of someone oblivious (easy)
wait till the first weapon pod is at 15-20s and disable power (this will knock out transmitters and stop EMEs too)
C to transform to monster and mash R (to drop your egg) while looking at the ground and dashing/running to the nearest spaceman
kill spacemen or force them to flee, eat bodies if possible, go human to grab the shotgun and leave
the rest of the round just focus on killing groups of 2-3 or less and getting more power weapons
DON'T over-commit to anything, if you dip below half health in a busy area GTFO to a vent
don't be afraid of going human form mid fight to keycard a door from the other side and escape that way, you can change colors/drop gear later
if the round goes that long: it's absolutely imperative that you get the rocket launcher and the spacemen don't. one shot from that and you are dead (without blast shield)
if you have blast shield and get nuke and the dropship just arrived just place it and watch everyone die/almost die and clean up in monster form
Among us is dead on Zig Forums isn't it? I don't see any threads right now.
it's closer to a SS13 clone if we're going to call it a clone
there's even going to be professions next patch
>Try the game because of Mandalore
>First match is on the train
>Three people grab the guns and start saying they're space cops
>Annoying at first but at the first Tribunal they manage to get literally everyone to stick together in one group
>Nobody dies and we call in the shuttle
>At the second Tribunal Cinnamon is noted to have briefly left the group multiple times
>Turns out Cinnamon was the monster and left to refill disguise energy
>Monster runs away and we all get in the shuttle
>The three guys prevent Monster from coming on the Shuttle by staying outside until the last couple seconds
>Monster is left behind and only killed 2 people before the first Tribunal
I love when people actually do the fucking obvious and stick together in one or two groups in these types of games.
There are already a few different perks that let you play roles, you can be a janitor, security guard or soldier. There are different mutations for the monster too that change their kit.
that's because jannies keep moving/deleting the threads
Since when? I used to remember that they were fine with those threads.
>I love when people actually do the fucking obvious and stick together in one or two groups in these types of games.
It's really all the spacemen have to do to win. You could move as a group to each area doing objectives and still have 5 minutes left in the round at the end
LSCKJF
>among us with guns
so... TTT?
6/10
Basically, except less jank
(except for Duress)
KVANKF
because among us runs on ANYTHING and phones
also US is more complex and normies hate thinking
Too much shit going on for brainlets/streamers. Various equipment/abilities are too complex for normalfags
Devs don't know what they're doing and are actively fucking the game to try to appeal to among us players. They try to say they don't want the game to be a glorified deathmatch but weapons are still thrown around like candy and Tribunal/body reporting just cripples the monster and makes it harder for him to actually play a deceptive game
The game was in a pretty decent spot before the tribunal thing but it's only gonna go further downhill as they try to figure out what they actually want to do with it
Ask people in lobby if your mic sounds OK. You might sound like ass and not know it. Something is fucked about the VOIP in this game; several friends who normally sound fine have their mics sound like deep fried shit in-game. Turning down your mic gain or going "Steam friends > settings > Voice" and turning mic threshold off might fix this.
>Why is nobody talking about this game?
because we already played it
also it's more like a "The Thing" videogame rather than among us/TTT
>Tribunal/body reporting just cripples the monster and makes it harder for him to actually play a deceptive game
Tribunal was pretty much useless before the previous hotfix. Next patch's profession system will give the monster more options for deception (as well as some other much-needed buffs and new monster mutations).
>Why is nobody talking about this game?
All of the servers are full, they're busy playing it
I would be too if I wasn't stuck at work
Does voting the monster's current in tribunal force them to eject? Twice I've seen the monster immediately transform after getting voted suspicious, but I'm not sure if it's because he panicked.
Patch notes don't seem to state tribunal will reveal monster, and it's my understanding it's main function is to debuff the monster by voting for his original color.
If a color is marked sus the monster can't transform into it anymore. So if the monster was LARPing as green, then green gets voted, the monster is forced out of disguise.
