Honestly I'd like sort of an open world version of metro. Somewhere with tight winding corridors between each station and secret passages and no "wow look at this beautiful view of mountains and meadows" I want something dingy and dark.

This, no religion and I picture small settlements getting disputes and keep killing each other off endlessly (much like pretty much Africa really). No room fo science in such an environment.

Looking at it biologically (no philosifically as in what is 'best') - the way humans spread (almost to a point that is their own ruin) and managed to up their living standard - they are pretty fucking sick succesfully. And since 'biologically' is the only fucking thing that matters to 'life'- Leave it to the humans to squabble over what 'ideal', 'Spiritual' or 'political' force made it happen. Biology don't care.
