After failure of Classic I'm rather pessimistic about TBC. I mean it was fun a month or two but to create a really long lasting experience they need to make serious changes to the old game.

we know how people approach classic now so we can play around that.
>open world farming devalued heavily
bots grinding 24/7, and all the best spots known to everyone, farming primals is gonna be not really feasible even at 4 am it's gonna be a pvp shitshow
>dungeon grinding for xp is now established meta
prot palas, aoe classes are gonna be desired for early at launch for levelling groups
>massive amounts of gold in the economy due to boosting and bots

How about releasing three different versions?
One #nochanges, one with moderate, sensible changes and one brought up to modern standards

>TBC Classic
Kek. It's going to be shit, just like vanilla Classic.

>The most nerfed versions of content when the game in fact needs custom tuning above pre-nerf
>Nothing being done to address faction balance issues when TBC is the expansion where Horde is better for PvE AND PvP, and people don't want to end up in the dead faction so even people who prefer playing Alliance will go Horde.
>Extreme level of inauthenticity caused by BFA/Shadowlands server and client architecture (layering etc), in addition to those servers simply being laggy pieces of shit
>Ridiculous megaservers(layers) with far more population than the game was designed to work with
>Poorly implemented artificial patch progression
>Retarded implementation of leeway and batching, out of which batching is such a hack it's no more accurate than having no batching at all (in addition to feeling just horrible)
>Depending on how they go about it, people will be entering the game with Naxx gear, multiple accounts of alts, and thousands of gold
>Literally the worst community
>Having to play neo-Blizzard

You'd be much better off playing on private servers. Hell, unlike vanilla, for TBC there exists servers (Atlantiss Karazhan) that are largely pristine even in terms of RP details like Bartolo Ginsetti /dancing when you talk to him or Cenarion Expedition guards /saluting exalted players, if you really really care about that sort of thing over all the other ways retail servers are worse than private ones.

>How are you preparing for tbc anons?
I'm not. It's not coming out anyway and, even if it did, it would've pretty much ruined Classic by replacing it. After which people would eventually start crying to get Classic back and realize that they think they want expansions, but they don't.

If/When TBC comes out, I'll still be on my Mage.

Can't switch out when I've got a scarab mount.

private servers are all based overseas for me (lag)and aren't permanent which is a bigger deal for me. i wanna be able to log my character in 10 years if i want

Zig Forums is playing retail, not classic.

This
Classic was enjoyable at first but the amount of diehard metafaggotry was ridiculous. Pally and Druid were shat on constantly, doing a proper BRD run was impossible because everyone only cared about Anger, and PvP was a disaster because you had 1.12 overtuned balance without 1.12 content, especially the mess that was AV.
If they do TBC Classic, the absolute minimum is starting it off identical to release state and progressing through patches along the way, and ideally making changes to actually balance instead of blindly doing 1:1.

Anything less and I'm not touching it and neither will most others.

i hope tbc classic releases and it's just as fucking cancerous aids as classic is now because of the shit playerbase and shit decisions made by blizzard and it ruins people's nostalgia for it

It's Activision we're talking about. Releasing no changes version requires little to no dev effort, so they are gonna release it as it is again.

Imagine buying the same franchise twice in a vain attempt trying to regain your lost youth which you lost playing the same franchise.

> private servers

no thanks

>dps fags
oh no no no

not a problem anymore/not a problem on pve servers. your fault you rolled on a dumbshit pvp server if you actually did. having a blast right now leveling up, plenty of people doing quests around me for elite quests/dungeons. almost lvl 50 now, and when i can join, the guild leader as already said i could fucking play w/e the fuck i want in raids because it doesnt fucking matter, so i get to be a bad ass 2 handed warrior mofo slapping Ragnaros's ass cheeks.

it's not about that it's about having access to a fun game you once played that was no longer playable. if league of legends classic came out i would play that too cause that game used to be good and now it's shit. regular patches were a mistake

Ok, I'll buy that.

>pve
I can't even imagine doing this. Some classes like Rogue have literal, unironic one button rotations in Vanilla.

rogue is one of the classes that don't actually. mage does tho, so does warlock

I'm going to play a goat Ele shaman and strongly regret my faction choice.

an alliance shaman is gonna be getting spam invited to every raid, you'll love it

Well, instead of connection lag you're then going to get server processing lag and 0-400ms delay on abilities and other interactions that in retail vanilla and TBC would have been processed instantly or on separate priority queue. Have fun with that lag then I guess.

>i wanna be able to log my character in 10 years if i want
I will never be able to understand this. This would only matter if you actually WILL log after 10 years, and your character would be unrecognizable after that time anyhow (even if the server somehow stayed in the same patch all these years, your gold would be worthless due to hyperinflation, people would be more progressed than you on their fifth alts, all content other than the latest would be so dead you might as well manually recreate a duplicate of the character on local server hosted on your own PC, etc, etc - never mind if there was patch progression). Besides, that comes at a cost of servers stagnating to state of final patch raidlogging while the best experiences in WoW are on FRESH servers.

dagger rogue is Backstab forever with the occasional S&D, and unless you're Human that's what you're playing

I'll see what they are doing patch wise.
Classic was a gigantic hit, it litteraly put them back on the map.
If I had to guess they will try to make TBC a bit beefier under the hood because now they can flat out say fuck you no changes.
If they chunk up the bosses I'll gotta prot pally, they are fucking banging in TBC

I already played ~2016-2019 on a private blizzlike server, as a warlock. I dont give a fuck about TBC classic.

considering retail sucks massive tranny cock and I need my wow fix yes im playing TBC

i play sword rogue and it's ss snd, and evis with thistle tea and adren rush/blade flurry cd's too. it's simple but it's not spamming shadow bolt and i have to physically move my character lol

atm i'm lvling a warlock to be my main. i'll have a prot pala alt too for comfy aoe farming and dungeon runs to help ppl out

>pve servers
Might as well go play FFXI/XIV

Reminder that tbc ruined wow for three entire expansions with resilence , resilence stat, flying mounts

>oh yeah, I jumped some guy farming, I'm the hot shit now!

Attached: epickidob2.gif (200x150, 1.3M)

epic flying mount is literally the most satisfying thing in the entire game. after 2 years of walking around like a pleb, being able to rocket around over annoying terrain is so liberating.
>muh wpvp
it still happens, there are hot spots where mobs are, dungeon entrances, quest hubs etc, pvp is constant and will be even more so in tbc cause instead of all of azeroth it will be just 5 zones
