I know everyone wants to go on about story stuff, but I just wanna point out how fucking huge the amount of potential variation in this shit is.
Like, we've got so many fucking maps and possible units along with 18 playable characters.
Imagine all the crazy shit they can pull off with DLC missions in this once they're untethered from the story and can just start throwing this shit together. The "challenges" probably include a glimpse of this, but they'll likely be adding way more for each DLC pack the same way they did in the first HW and HW Legends.
Also the possibilities for alt outfits for the characters beyond Link are completely open now that we know the other characters do indeed get alt outfits (though only ones story related in the base game).
I'm actually pretty hyped about the potential for the DLC now. The first HW had one of the best DLC passes I've ever gotten and this one looks primed to be even better.

No. It's an alternate timeline a la OoT. Breath of the Wild was the "punished" timeline, then they sent the future champions back to the past to prevent the old champions from dying and Calamity Ganon from fucking up Hyrule. Breath of the Wild 2 will be a sequel to Age of Calamity in the new timeline. Screencap this post.

Not clones. Riju rides Patricia and uses the Thunderhelm to attack with electricity. Sidon duel wields the Lightscale and Ceremonial Trident. Teba uses the Elemental arrows and has an Ancient arrow for his special move. Yunobo is a fist user and while he also uses Daruk's protection, he gets shot out of a cannon.

we already know it's a sequel to BotW1 because the Sheikah tech is all gone, and BotW1's ending shows the Divine Beasts shutting down for good

I can see a lot of characters get three different weapons (the great fairies, Maz Koshia, Hetsu, eggbot, etc) but where's Teba trio of weapons? Just the same bows as other characters? Either that or the last bows in the pic but that would give him the Bow of Light as final weapon and sounds pretty crazy to be real
